The Fact regarding Mormonism, and also why it’s so insane. It takes a great deal of blind belief and also round thinking to be a Mormon.
"Interestingly enough…" Jesus gave just about enough evidence for his existence, then the Mormons lost tribes of Israel. You are so quick to dismiss Mormons fairy tale, but you dismiss all the BS of your just as fake and untruthful religion. What a MORON!!!!
So your gonna rip on Mormons. Fine they have some wacky beliefs. but your gonna ignore the issues with Christianity?your suffering from double-think. Apply your "healthy skepticism" to Christianity its just as wacky and with just as much stupidity as Mormonism.Just remember that god hates shrimp! and your going to Hell if you eat it!
Jerusalem is a City named in the Book of Mormon that has been found. Here are few cities from the Bible: Enoch, Sodom and Gomorrah. Have we found evidence of these cities? Why is Thomas allowed to see the resurrected Christ and Joseph Smith cannot? If you are going to pick out contradictions in the Book of Mormon and Mormonism, then you should in all fairness pick out contradictions in the Bible and any religion that follows the teachings there. I would ask that you leave the Mormons alone rather than pick them out alone just because you don’t understand their religion which you made evident by this video. The Bible contains the Old Testament and the New Testament. They testify of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon carries the title, “Another Testament Of Christ” which you failed to mention and which the Book of Mormon surely does testify of Christ. I belong to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, which you refer to as the Mormons, which coincidently, under further investigation answers the question of language style as the book states, that Mormon and later, his son Moroni, selected the records from many writers and compiled them into one book. Kind of sounds like the Bible. Weird, huh? Upon further investigation you will indeed find that there are different writing styles written in the same language, just like the Bible. Unlike the Bible, which continues to be retranslated into modern language, which anybody who translates from one language to another knows is not a perfect science, thereby endangering the true and actual meaning of the original words. The Book of Mormon will remain in its current language and translation. I have investigated the contents of the Book of Mormon and the religion you refer to as Mormonism and I find them of great value in my life. I proclaim to be a Christian and try to follow the teachings of Christ. My God will be judge and I pray that Christ will be my advocate. That is all that I can ask.
This is bull
Mormon religion is for gullible ppl
Okay basic studies other people have more strong arguments against Mormonism
I see him saying the same thing about Christianity, now I’m a Christian myself
there is a book called "The god makers" that also debunks Mormonism…the LDS buys them up and destroys everyone they can get!
Mormonism is based on the claims of a Conman, Joe Smith is the only thing they talk about in church. They say it is the church of Jesus Christ but they only talk about is joe and they act any way to promote the Church of Joe Smith and claim it is the Church of Jesus Christ, THAT IS A LIE.
@Acts of truth This evening I met two Mormon missionaries and I asked them about their religion and tell them that what they believe in is false, as usual they didn't answer my question, instead they tell me to pray together with them to the "heavenly father".Deep down in my heart, I knew that only through the belief in Jesus then only we can go to heaven and not by some restoration of the "gospel". I hope that Christians should know to reject those false teaching as they are no better than those non-believers. Greeting from Malaysia, may God bless you, amen!
isn't that what religion / faith is?
Six days, and still Acts of delusion isn't ready.
Acts, I am going to forego the spiritual aspect and just respond to your 'crazy' claims on a logical level. Logic is the antithesis of crazy. However, I must first mention that God's dealings with man have always put faith ahead of evidence. The bible often teaches us to have faith in the absence of evidence. The scriptural warning that a man is cursed if he trusts the arm of flesh ahead of trusting God is real, and I fear you rely too heavily on flesh. LDS don't contradict the reasonable way of processing information. We read the BoM, and test the claims of the restoration, just as we would purchasing a ring or a house. The claims have all been mentally mulled over before accepting them as truth. While we have had the added witness of the holy ghost, it is not without first processing and accepting the information. I could show you YT sites where we have been criticised for this very thing; saying our witness is merely because we have already made up our minds. You may have stumbling blocks, yourself, but most of us don't see them the same way you do. The way we confirm claims is exclusive of wild and unbacked noises. The healthy scepticism you pretend to use is actually unhealthy in that any nefarious counter claim is accepted without the scepticism it deserved. Smith didn't find the plates; he was shown by an angel where they lay. Millions of people have ran more than three miles, and thousands have escaped harm by armed assailants. The Nephites were Hebrew descendants of the slaves in Egypt who built the pyramids. In the centuries of bondage, they would have learned the language, and in the period of removal they would likely have reformed it. Many other languages have been reformed in similar circumstances. It is more natural than not. Would God want the plates to remain here? Isn't that against his penchant for promoting faith? Hard evidence would kill any need for faith, but God provides 12 testators so that worldly standards will condemn the wicked. 12 witnesses are enough to commit a man to death in most courts, and the 12 in the BoM will commit men to death at the judgment. The conditions you speak of are the nefarious counter claims that you swallow gleefully, and are of no substance. For instance, not having signatures; if the 11 others thought Smith had misused their names, they had many years to correct him and remove their witnesses from the preface of the book. Do you really think they were duped? You would have to be crazy, but I'll let that slide. LOL
Writing styles in the BoM. There are over a million hits for 'writing styles in the Book of Mormon', with some claiming no differences and others explaining the differences. One can read all they like and form their own opinion. Of course, you are not the first to give an opinion, and there are three main claims as to the origin of the book: 1. Smith wrote it. 2. Smith stole it from Solomon Spaulding. and 3. Smith plagiarised Rev. Ethan Smith's 'View of the Hebrews'. You can pick which lie to believe, so long as it isn't Smith translated it. I say, let everybody just read it and pray. You worry about 17th C. English? I am unable to tell what that is. I'm not going to use that arm of flesh to judge anything by. The two instances of texts similar to the bible are easily explained, and you know the reasons because they are evident in reading it. The 'Isaiah' text is a direct copy from the books taken from Laban. Nephi tells us. The NT teachings of Jesus are a record of Jesus teaching in Zarahemla. The exactness is because Jesus is perfect, and deliberately taught verbatim what he taught the Jews. It was so precise that they most likely used the NT to prep the manuscript, saving editing. If you look at where 'and it came to pass' is, then where it isn't, you will see that it is used where Mormon abridges other writers, and not used where direct entries are used. It is consistent, and never mucks up. Had Smith written a novel, he would likely have slipped up, somewhere. The cities are known in the Holy Land because the occupants survived to this day. The cities are not known in the Americas because the Nephites were obliterated. These polar opposite conditions are the reason for the found – not found situations. It is extremely logical. But the bible never taught that any condition for salvation was knowing your geography, and logic dictates we stay on track. Whether there's any geography to know is totally irrelevant. Let that slide. The time between the last Nephite and the BoM published was over 1,400 years. I have seen cars rust to nothing in 50 years, so I don't expect swords to be dug up 1,600 years later. I have heard of civilisations that crush bones into drinks, so I'm not counting on bones surviving in every instance, and those Incas, Mayans and Aztecs did some pretty weird stuff. But the main reason I dismiss items not found (be it swords, bones or cities) is because the American continent is massive, and I would hazzard a guess that maybe 2% of it has been excavated. Too much left uncovered to make a call, and I would say you are crazy if you think there has been enough done. I hear Mexico City has had two cities found underneath – is there a third down there?
I was enjoying this video until this dude mentioned the resurrection. Ugh! There's as much evidence for the Mormon bullshit as there is a resurrection. ZERO! It's like passing away in 1970 and literally nobody knows anything about you until an article appears in a magazine about you in 2020….None of the gospels are first hand knowledge. NONE. Mormonism isn't the only belief system that is crazy.
Thanks for sharing your healthy skepticism, but you only touched the tip of the iceberg though of the loony claims within their belief system.
Mormons take all this on faith. It is easy to fact check something that happened within the last 200 years. When you believe any religion, it must be taken on faith. Jerusalem has existed for thousands of years. That is a fact. There is no evidence excepting oral tradition that Abraham, Joseph, David, or Jesus Christ ever existed, except in a text that was written 2000 plus years ago. This text has been rewritten and translated from the originals many times, and the original texts are mostly written from oral traditions. The supposed eye witnesses to Jesus are not the ones who wrote the bible. It was written in the first century after his death. The exception may be the letters of Paul, and he was not an eye witness of Jesus except for his claim of seeing him in a vision. There is no archeological evidence of Joseph, even though he was supposedly high in the Egyptian government. There is no archeological evidence for Moses, even though he was supposedly high in the Egyptian government. There is no evidence of the Hebrews travail in the desert. There is no archeological evidence of David, no mention of him or Israel in the records of countries around that area. When you think logically, the stories in the bible are ridiculous. God, supposedly all powerful, cannot find any other way to forgive our sins excepting to come down to earth and become Christ, be tortured and killed. Then, if we cannot believe that any such thing happened, if we cannot take it all on faith, with no real proof, we will be condemned to be punished for eternity. All people must believe in Christ to return to God in heaven. What of the millions who lived before Christ? What about the millions who lived after him but never even heard about him? If you must accept him as savior to return to God, then God is a monster. He takes his message to a few people in a small desert country. He does not tell everyone in the world he is God, just a few people in Palestine, but if you don't believe in him, you go to hell for eternity. If you never heard of him, too bad for you. At least in Mormonism, you have a chance to hear about God and accept the "truth" after you die. Then, if you do make it to heaven, what eternity do you have? You get to spend eternity bowing down to God and telling him what a great guy he is. He sounds like Trump to me. I think I'll skip it.
So where do mormons go when they realize mormonism is a lie. PLEEEEEASE don't tell me they swap the lie of mormonism for the lie of christianity. WOW! That would be one painful way to go! What is next? scientology? Charlie Mason? WoW!!!
I know how to make this video way way shorter, list why it's not crazy….
you dumb as shit
There may not be any archeological evidence that the golden plates are real, but there IS a ton of, very fascinating, archeological and geographical evidence that the Book of Mormon is true.
Baptised into the LDS Church two days ago 😉 😉
Too bad you don’t apply this same skepticism towards ur bible.
Your crazy bro all you say is a lie
ERIC!!! Where are you? We're waiting for your intelligent answers to some pretty simple questions… I figured I would ask today since you can "outsmart me every day of the week and twice on Sunday." Figured you probably just got home from the CULT gathering and have recharged your lesson giving soul for us. You avoiding the questions shows that 1. You loose. 2. You are scared. Or 3. Your true intelligence is starting to show and you realize that Joseph Smith was nothing but a common con man. Hope to actually get an answer.
All religion is utter horse cockery.
Religious Faction is 100% CORRECT, and it's goofy to boot. Mormonism is based on a LIE by the LIAR & FALSE PROPHET Joseph Smith which millions of people subscribe to. Anyone who believes in Mormonism is on the same level as believing in the fairy tooth godmother, santa claus, or the easter bunny. It's ALL one BIG FAT FABRICATION from the mind of Joseph Smith.
Heh, Jesus showed his wounds to the Nephites as well. Most of the cities were buried under mountains during the destructions. Did you even read the thing?
mormonism is religionsfictoin like sf is fiction fucing bulshet fuck them
Here's one in my email inbox that has not appeared in the posts:
FITNESS CENTEREric Lawton oh so now your back! 🙂 I've been WAITING for your awesome excuses on the following points. Please explain them for us all. Polygamy, Joseph's failed bank (must have not been in God's plan…) all the TONS of changes in the CULT when God is unchanging. Now be honest here Eric does the CULT teach blasphemy on how one day we can be God's of our own worlds? Also that God himself was as we are now? I am really counting on your intelligent grammar lesson and excuses on this post if you would be so kind. Isaiah 44:8 – Do not tremble and do not be afraid; Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses Is there any God besides Me, Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.'" Isaiah 44:6 – "Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me." Hummmm….. Still waiting from last time you had no answer.
I will reply to myself with my response to FC.

Shit, had to edit the post. Forgot to mention that you can read more about the Joseph Smith failed bank on lds.org I hope the CULTS own website and the Bible are credible enough for you Eric.
False religion of the book of Mormon
Yes I prayed and got my answer to that prayer, and yes I’m a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know this is Gods True Restored Church and that the Book of Mormon is Absolutely true. It has Changed my life and I have a wonderful relationship with God. Before my life was not good. Now my life is so blessed. And I can’t find any fault in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you lack wisdom ask God don’t put your faith in this guy or the arm of flesh. If you truly seek God you will find him and your questions will finely be answered.
