    {Zephaniah 3:6}

  4. Not to bad of a video, but I would stick to the words of Christ, than the old prophecies. It seems the message given to us by Christ doesn't fit well with some of the old testament "prophecies". Take for instance the unsaved slain by the return of Christ. Jesus mentions nothing like it, and neither does revelations. In Revelations there are three great catastrophes after the last trump. Just a though I guess. I don't believe everything the old prophets said.

  5. Gee, where is the restored paradise? Where is restitution? Where are the promises of Isaiah 65? Whatever happened to Jesus ruling the nation's and the upward development of man to perfection. This is not the Gospel. This is BAD NEWS. Did you not know "The earth abideth forever??" That it was created to be filled with people, animals, birds, etc?
"If they speak not from the word of God there is NO LIGHT IN THEM. You left out the best part of the Gospel. The restoration of earth as paradise, where each will have their own fig tree, where one will work and another not take away his fruits, where the lion eats hay and the lamb and the wolf will play together, AND A LITTLE CHILD WILL LEAD THEM.
"The earth was created NOT IN VAIN". (Look it up.) "Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done… ON EARTH as it is in heaven. Get a complete King James Bible and put away those other corrupt versions which corrupt the Word Of God!!

  6. I think there are two keys to understanding Revelation 20 that you are overlooking. One has to do with TIMING and the other has to do with TERMINOLOGY.

We have to start taking the time references in New Testament prophecy literally. Virtually every New Testament prophecy about future judgment has an accompanying time reference that links it to the 1st Century destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. We have to stop ignoring these time references and start taking them literally. If not, it is impossible to interpret Biblical prophecy accurately.

For example, at the very end of Luke's account of the Olivette Discourse Jesus told the disciples gathered at His feet, that all these things are "about to take place." Why do you refuse to take His words literally and push His symbolic/poetic sermon 2,000+ years into the future? Timing is everything.

Likewise, In the very first paragraph of Revelation John told his first century readers that this prophecy "must shortly take place….for the time is near." Why do you refuse to interpret the words "shortly" and "near" literally and push this symbolic/poetic prophesy 2,000+ years into the future?

You have also told us to interpret the unclear passages in the Bible in light of the clear doctrinal statements. The first 10 verses of the Book of Revelation contain mostly clear doctrinal statements. Applying your principle of "clear to unclear" we must interpret the subsequent mostly poetic and symbolic parts of Revelation in light of the 10 introductory, didactic verses.

What do the first 10 verses tell us about the Kingdom of Christ. They tell us in no uncertain terms that the Kingdom of Christ was established in the 1st Century at the time of his death, resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Ancient of Days (Daniel 7:13,14). Verse 5 of the first chapter of Revelation states very clearly that Jesus Christ is/was "the ruler of the kings of the earth" at the time that John wrote the book in the 1st Century. Furthermore, He goes on to say in verse 6 that "He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father; to Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." Why do you refuse to take those words literally?

Whatever John is telling us in Revelation 20, we cannot interpret it to contradict what John has already told us in clear doctrinal statements in the Introductory 1st 10 verses. Namely, that the Kingdom of Christ was established at Jesus' first coming. We cannot push His kingdom off into the distant future AFTER the second coming. John said that His dominion started in the 1st Century and is everlasting. Therefore, kingdom delayed, is kingdom denied. Why do you try to deny Christ His rightful Kingdom?

If the above is true, what then is Revelation 20 telling us? It is very clearly describing the "first resurrection", whatever that is? The passage says that the reign of the saints (20:4) "is the first resurrection" (20:5) We have to establish very clearly the meaning of the Biblical term "first resurrection." Following Schofield you stated that "the rapture is what the Bible calls the first resurrection." The second resurrection of the unsaved comes later.

But that is not how the Bible defines "first resurrection." Verse 6 of Revelation 20 makes it fairly clear that the first resurrection is experienced by those who have been delivered from the "second death." These "will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years." This is much the same terminology we saw in Rev. 1:6: "He HAS made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God…" It was a fait accompli in the 1st Century and today.

Thus, the Bible defines "first resurrection" and "second resurrection." as resurrection of the soul and resurrection of the body, respectively. NOT resurrection of believers and resurrection of unbelievers, respectively. This is confirmed in at least three other Bible passages"

John 5:29,30 says that the resurrection of the saved and unsaved happens at the same time, in one hour: "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth…"

Ephesians 2:5,6 — "even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus…."

Colossians 2: 12,13 – “having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead."
Thus, the only possible conclusion is that the "thousand years" of Revelation 20 is a symbolic or poetic expression for the reign of those who have experienced the first resurrection during the church age.

There is a reference to "10,000 of his saints" in Jude 14 as a symbolic reference to "a huge number — ALL the saints." Why then cannot the 1,000 years of Revelation 20 be thought of in the same symbolic manner. Like the Psalm that says "He owns the cattle on 1,000 hills.” Why do you insist on interpreting this poetic expression with such a "wooden literalism." Nobody reads poetry like that.

Please cast off this vestige of Schofieldism that is clouding your vision of the glorious victory that God will accomplish through the church in these LAST DAYS before the 2nd coming. Isaiah tells us that in these LAST DAYS "the nations will bear their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks." This will be accomplished by the "sword that proceedeth out of His mouth," NOT a sword of steel (Rev. 19:15). Don't be like the 10 spies who said that the giants are too big to conquer.
