Script:
They are turning social media versus us. Disguising it as news.
I’m not talking about Russia. The media company I’m talking about runs right here, in the USA.
It has a large personnel of on-air characters, press reporters, cameramen and editors. It operates out of state-of-the art studios in Washington DC, London, Rio, and half a lots other significant cities. It produces videos, report, and documentaries. It has 10s of countless social networks fans. Their content is seen and shared by numerous young people across the western world. In other words, they’re targeting us.
CNN? Wrong.
Fox News? Wrong once again.
The answer is … AJ+.
If you’ve hung around on social networks, you’ve seen their stuff, I promise you. This is isn’t the work of a scrappy start-up in Silicon Valley. AJ+ is bankrolled by the government of Qatar.
Never become aware of Qatar? Many people have not.
It’s a small Persian Gulf state with great deals of oil money; billions of dollars they’re not afraid to invest in causes they think in– causes like the fear group Hamas, which runs the Gaza Strip.
Without billions from Qatar and its ally, Iran, Hamas would blow away in the next desert sandstorm. Hamas is just part of Qatar’s terror portfolio. The Qatar federal government bankrolls the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda in Yemen and Syria, extreme extremists in Libya, and Hezbollah in Lebanon– to put it simply, a rogues gallery of murderous Islamist fear groups.
Qatar’s propaganda arm is the Arab news service Al Jazeera– which it owns lock, stock and America-hating, Israel-hating, barrels. Al Jazeera made a splashy attempt to get into the United States media market in 2013. They bought a cable television franchise for $400 million dollars from former Vice President Al Gore. They signed up some significant American TV journalists and opened up shop in New York and Washington. But the effort failed. Americans just could not comfortable as much as the idea that a news network that they had actually rightly associated with Osama bin Laden might be trusted.
But Al Jazeera didn’t disappear. They simply re-branded into the much better sounding “AJPlus” and they concentrated their efforts on the web and a market that didn’t have a bin Laden fixation– or much connection to 9/11 at all: youths. And they’ve been amazingly successful.
Their productions are well-produced, slick and left. In reality, they are so left that they make videos railing versus leftist white women for being insufficiently understanding to leftist women of color, particularly ladies of color who are gay or transgendered.
It’s hard to overlook the irony that a media operation totally funded by a nation that oppresses gays and females makes this kind of material for an American audience.
