America Lost is a documentary triptych that takes a look at life in three of America’s “forgotten cities”– Youngstown, Ohio, Memphis, Tennessee, and Stockton, California.

The motion picture reveals the exceptional decline of the American interior through a mosaic of stories consisting of an ex-steelworker scrapping deserted homes to make it through, a simply recently jailed father attempting to restore his life, and a pair of brother or sisters wishing to leave their blighted city area.

I invested 5 years gathering these incredibly intimate photos of Americans enduring on the edge. The motion picture clarifies how our collapsing social institutions have actually developed a harmful divide in between the haves and have nots.
