If God did indeed make us and the entire universe then logic would dictate that he would know what is bast for us. You can ignore his advice (morals) if you wish, after all he gave you free will, but if you do you will suffer the natural consequences of your actions.

Ray Comfort has some excellent videos on how he shares the gospel with homosexuals. Bottom line is that theyโ€™re not going to hell for being homosexuals. Theyโ€™re going to hell because theyโ€™re sinners and reject the savior.

You are absolutely right that no God mean no objective measure of right and wrong. However, this is only a threshold question. God has given revelation to communicate the correct standard of right and wrong. Here's the problem. What exactly did God say about right or wrong in a particular instance. e.g. Is stem cell research RIGHT if you create embryos just for the purpose of research? Just for the purpose harvesting cell the cure paraplegics? Just for the purpose of rejuvenating an aging movie star? The Bible is insufficiently detailed to answer these question. God knew this. He ordered no one to write a book. He founded a Church for the purpose of guiding men to the truth. That Church still exists. You know which one I am talking about. Credo in unam, sanctam, CATHOLICAM et apostolicam ecclesiam. Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum. โœ โœ โœ

I don't smoke weed. I don't plan to ever smoke weed. But the comparison to having a glass of wine is a little weird. The Bible says wine makes the heart merry and says that is a good thing (a blessing). Clearly, very clearly the bible doesn't say you cannot feel the effects of alcohol or that is a sin. To say that is way off the mark. We shouldn't be drunk. That is also clear. Where feeling the effects of alcohol crosses over to drunkeness is a matter of conscience. I would say being publicly intoxicated, out of control of yourself, or course any kind of anger or inappropriate actions is a huge sign you are in trouble. Feeling a buzz because you are sharing a bottle wine at home with your wife. I doubt it. Spliting a 6 pack with your brother-in-law to bond and chat I think is OK. Taking things too far to that direction is legalistic and sorry guys I dont see that in the Bible. You could probably say men should walk around in public with our eyes closed so you keep yourself from lusting over a lady wearing jeans to tight. Frankly, I think Christian have much bigger problems to worry about than alcohol or even weed. Our whole society is going secular, sexual immorality everywhere, hard drugs, contempt for Christians. It's bad.

16:30 You may already know this, but that statistic of the number of sexual partners actually came out during the AIDS crisis as medical professionals scrambled to try to understand why it was spreading so quickly! In fact, all of the bath houses in San Francisco were closed to prevent the spread of the disease, which they knew at that point was NOT spread by casual contact. But simply by the sheer number of sexual partners.

QUESTION: What is God's reason for creating us? (The Why)

(I understand God gives free will…choose to love God or not… opens up for man made atrocities… God loves us and died to redeem us.)
This is God having created us already.
But why create us?

I hate to say this but LGBTQ is the enemy of Christians. Because of this the media who always hate Christians call us ministers of Hate. Which now the government now jumps on the bandwagon (looking for votes) come after the Christian (Jack the cake baker). Remember when the world hates you it hated me first (Jesus Christ).

They were having more than "one glass of wine with food". John 2:10. You got this one wrong Frank on multiple fronts. Marijuana can be consumed in moderation to relax and think. I don't disagree with you often, but this is one. God bless:)
