I was born to dislike Jews. I was not born in Iran or Syria. I was born in England.

We only wished the finest for everybody– everybody except the Jews. The Jews, we believed, were aliens living in taken Muslim land, occupiers who were taken part in a genocide versus the Palestinian individuals. If the Jews were as wicked as we had continuously thought, should not those who support them– Christians, Americans, and others in the West– be merely as evil?

Starting in the 1990s, speakers and instructors at mosques and in schools began to continuously duplicate this design: We were not Western. Our commitment was to our faith and to our fellow Muslims. We owed nothing to the Western nations that welcomed us.

I began to see the suffering of Muslims, consisting of in Britain, as the fault of Western imperialism. The West was at war with us, and the Jews managed the West. Doing not like Israel was a badge of honor.
