No issue where you originate from, what your work is, or where you stand politically, you need to pay tax obligations. Uncle Sam requires taxpayer bucks to spend for points like institutions, fireman, and also the armed force. There are all type of various tax obligations: revenue tax obligations, pay-roll tax obligations and also sales tax obligations simply among others. But people aren’t the just one that pay tax obligations– companies pay revenue tax obligations as well. Businesses that are established as firms pay tax obligations on their revenue at the United States business tax obligation price of around 35 percent– among the highest possible in the established globe. Countries like Ireland and also Switzerland have business tax obligation prices well under 25 percent, which can offer firms based there an affordable benefit. But there’s one more strained team that we’re neglecting … small companies. There are 29 numerous them in the United States and also they utilize almost 56 million individuals. That’s a total amount of 85 million individuals depending on the success of small companies! Small companies are frequently established as single proprietorships, collaborations or one more classification called an S-corp. But the cash they make isn’t strained at the business price. The earnings gained by these small companies are “gone through” to the proprietor and also counted as specific revenue on their individual income tax return. That’s why you may listen to small companies described as “Pass- throughs.”. These business owners can pay tax obligation prices as high as 40 percent not consisting of added state and also regional tax obligations, that implies numerous American small companies are being strained at a greater price than companies throughout the globe. Why should you care? Because high tax obligations harm small companies capacity to expand and also broaden, triggering them to increase costs or perhaps trim tasks to remain within their spending plan restraints. Lowering tax obligations for small companies or “pass-throughs” causes the development of small companies– enabling them to give even more tasks and also increase the economic situation for every person. After all 2 thirds of all brand-new tasks originated from small companies and also reducing tax obligations can have a large result on the whole economic situation for allAmericans So the following time you listen to somebody sustaining a boost in tax obligation prices on companies, keep in mind that extremely crucial team of local business proprietors and also the 85 million individuals depending on their success.

fun fact: the US has the highest corporate tax rate in the developed world. France (you know, that very socialist country) has a corporate tax which is either 15% or 33% depending on whether the business makes more than 38,120 euros. The US has a flat corporate tax rate of 35% and that's just the federal one. Some states may have a corporate tax of their own and it can be as high as 12%.

Ralei Ariel - posted on December 2, 2017 12:45 pm

tax cuts to small businesses doesn't mean the business will hire more or pay more to their employees. what kind of fool do you take me for?

Ralei Ariel - posted on December 2, 2017 12:47 pm

the govt takes the money because they KNOW damn well employers arent going to pay it forward to their employees by paying them more.

ny1t - posted on December 3, 2017 1:12 pm

This video also misses the mark. HIGH TAXES ARE FROM HIGH SPENDING. CUT SPENDING!!!!!

If the current spending is $4 Trillion, it is $12,300 per man woman and child.
If we cut spending to $2 Trillion, it would be $5,500 per man woman and child.
Cutting spending lowers taxes.

Taxes are to pay for legitimate government spending. Cutting taxes shifts the tax burden from on citizen to another, but does nothing to solve the real problem.

In Malaysia, government tax is 25%. The 25% is drawn from the number accumulated from profit, loss of sales, employee wages, owner's spending, electric bill, water bill, and more. The tax is not drawn from profit only.

Nick D - posted on December 17, 2017 11:21 am

Whaaaat?! 35% in the US? We have 22% in SWEDEN!

kikyoass - posted on December 18, 2017 9:25 am

Tax cuts for business owners will not increase wages- I can promise you that. I’m paying market value and not a cent more…however it’ll give business owners more money to spend on themselves ?

The title is true, but unfortunately if you are making less than $800,000, the republicans are NOT giving you a tax break with your small business. And don't think that you can just call yourself a corporation and you will get the benefits. They are making sure that you have a lot of money before they give you any substantial tax breaks. This video and the Republican party are lying to you, but do not take my word for it, do your own research. It is pretty easy to verify.

John Stanowski - posted on December 25, 2017 6:08 pm

What a load of crap. Big business wants more breaks so they're trying to convince small business that lower taxes and less regulation will help them, which it does, by an insignificant amount, but the same benefits corporations so much more.

Ari Alvarez - posted on January 18, 2018 6:54 pm

Does the new tax bill help small businesses? Small businesses often do not fall under the corporate title.

Corporation tax in Romania is only 1%, so EU entrepreneurs can relocate Company headquarters there.
Activities could still be pursued in other member States, according to EU law.

PragerU, funded by fossil fuel billionaire trust funders to brainwash Americans too lazy to do their own research. The taxes our wealthiest companies and private individuals DON'T pay combined with government sanctioned monopolies is whats killing most Americans and small businesses.

Pattrick Stratton - posted on February 22, 2018 9:49 am

What this guy just proved to all of you is that if you are a person you get a 40% tax but if your a corporation you get 35%…. But if "corporations are people too" shouldent they pay more?

The fact is this taxis are not "killing" us small business owners they are killing the corporations.
The only reason the Republican put into place the "corperations are people too" bs is because it states in the constitution that you have the right to patition the government… How is that usefull to the people that pay 35% to your 40%? Lobiests thats how. They have every right now to dump money in polititions laps as campaign contributions now. Meaning your money means little to them but your vote does.

So remember to vote this coming election and remove the very people that snub your voice over the pay off of corperations.

The Mark of Kain - posted on February 28, 2018 8:31 am

No. Corporatism, huge tax breaks and government subsidies of large corporations are killing small business. PragerU is a joke…

Ben Watson - posted on March 5, 2018 9:51 pm

Agreed! So lets cut our military budget in half. It would still be there strongest military. But not once do these right wing conservatives who say were taxed too much ever consider that do they??

Clay Menefee - posted on March 6, 2018 5:25 pm

And yet the Republican party is more concerned with giving large corporations tax cuts instead of small businesses. Isn't that interesting?

Julio Alberto Obregón Peña - posted on March 15, 2018 2:14 pm

Let's be honest. Anyone with a small business will avoid paying taxes by not reporting their official income in their passthrough. Lowering taxes to small businesses will only cause big companies to split into smaller companies.

I had to shut down my business of 6 years because i could not afford payroll taxes and i was discusted at all the money i could have used to cushion my business went to government. This country sucked the entrepreneurial spirit out of me. I was a veteran as well and had to even pay ridiculous fees just to be called a veteran owned business. This countries tax system on small business is complete crap. I would warn anyone trying to open a business that needs more than 8 employees to think first…hire sub contract only, and have 250k in the bank.

IDK how it works in USA, but in france, company only pays taxes on profits. That means that if you are crying because the taxes are too high, thats because you can already pay everyone and invest in new stuff.
Plus, who do you think small businesses work for ? A large portion of them are subcontractors for big companies. Because, no kidding, lowering the taxes lowers the price at which the clients will want to pay (and believe me, big compagnies know a bunch about fiscality) : at the end, the small business will earn exactly the same thing, and the big company will pay less taxes. Yay.

Levis. H - posted on September 19, 2018 4:41 pm

these INSANE taxes on small businesses makes them unable to compete against big corporations.
and even if big corporations are taxed as well, big corporations can move their HQ to other countries to pay less taxes and big corporations can even lobby the shitty politicians to get baylouts or special benefits from the government.

Uncle Sams needs to fund these things

Cut funding to the Military then at a lower rate to where will we not get in trillions of dollars more debt while still having tax reform which does benefit the working class and small Businesses (not Bezos, not the Waltrons not the multi millionaries etc).

Businesses which get taxed on Income pay 35 percent taxes

The difference is big Businesses know the tricks to avoid paying those taxes so the actual taxes which get paid is alot lower then the 35 percent.

peanutbutterisfu - posted on July 13, 2019 2:15 am

Businesses shouldn’t be taxed on their income. This would create more money for more employees, paying the employees more money all of which would result in more tax revenue and a better economy. They still would be getting all of their tax money but it would be from more customers and more employees not the business. You can’t grow an economy when businesses are taxed so much they can’t afford more employees. It’s really simple and the government would probably make much more money this way.
