Great video BUT, … there is no such thing as an assault rifle. Selective fire or not. It was and is a propaganda term thought up by the nazi's in WWII. Feels like such an uphill battle, we're even the pro gun people push and use the terminology of rhe gun grabbers.

GRAndreas7 - posted on August 30, 2018 8:57 am

1) assault gun does not mean assault rifle . Assault gun is a political term describing a few specs of a gun

2) the Ar15 is not select fire we can agree on that . But how relevant is that? As you may already know , the military choses not to use full auto anyway .
So even though the ar is technically not an assault rifle like the m4 , in reallity , in the hands of an experienced shooter , the diffrence is not relevant

No matter how many times you say that or how many people say that, anti gun politicians just don't get it.

So I guess if I dressed up my semi auto .22 Savage Arms squirrel gun it would then be considered an assault rifle.

People wanting to ban assault weapons literally mean "Ban the spooky black gun"

jedifrogmstr - posted on September 28, 2018 6:05 am

There is no weapon in the US Arsenal with a nomenclature of "Assault rifle"

RezaQin - posted on September 28, 2018 11:02 am

Assault rifles don't exist. Assault is a legal term.

Great video! Gives me the "ammunition" necessary to rebut the assault weapon myth surrounding the AR-15. Thanks.

AR-15s you can buy on the market are more for military enthusiasts rather than an actual military weapon. I do have a question though, how close are the AK47s sold in America to the ones that are being issued today to military personnel in various countries around the world?

I've been alive for 26 years. I've learned that people are not a dumb as they act.

The word "Assault." Literally means, "A physical attack", "to attack physically." That's pretty much all firearms capabilities.

They really want you to believe that a flash hider, collapsible stock, magazine release button, pistol grip, fore grip, 30 round magazines, and a bayonet lug is what assaults a person?!

If they ban AR-15's through and through, they're going to find another gun to ban. Until there is nothing left.

Assault rifle or not, anyone who knows the intent of the 2nd amendment knows we need at LEAST this type of firearm.

What a load of bullshit. Yes the AR-15 is semi-automatic. But that doesnt mean it is less deadlier. It is almost similar in everyway except for mode of firing when compared to M4. 5.56 is no joke(the AP version can cut through any modern body armor)

Elaina Plays - posted on February 12, 2019 5:33 pm

an as long as you only have the number of rounds your state allows in the mag you can legally hunt with the Ar in some states.

Blake - posted on February 18, 2019 3:52 am

There is no such thing an assault rifle. It is a term for people who are afraid of guns. Tell me, if a hunting rifle and an AR are both semi auto and both shoot one bullet every time you pull the trigger, which would you consider an “assault rifle” let me guess you would say the AR, why because the AR looks scarier? How is one considered an “Assault rifle” when they both do the same damn thing. People are voting for high gun laws because the gun is getting in the wrong hands of people. So what? It’s the guns fault? That some people are naturally so stupid and choose to do these things like shoot up a school. And people are making terms like “assault rifles” for people to be afraid of guns, to make guns seem dangerous. Is it really the gun that’s dangerous? Or is it the person that uses it for bad? All a gun can do is shoot. But a human has to shoot it. Guns do not kill. The human behind it has the choice to. This is especially upsetting to me and my dad. My dad fought for this country and it’s upsetting to see terms like “assault rifle” going around to try to stop him from having a gun. And it’s all because these people don’t know anything or do no research. Most people don’t even know that AR does not stand for “Assault rifle” it stands for ArmaLite. Know your facts people. Before taking away many peoples well earned right.

Assualt is an Action. Not a classification, towards an object.
A rifle used to assault someone. Is an Assault rifle.
Same as if I were to use a golf club or a bat.
It would be considered an Assault weapon.
Just a quick addition to this.
I really do enjoy the education that this gives. I just had to throw my standpoint in.

Oh, forgive me. I was looking for actual information here, not a boxing match with straw man. Do the only difference (according to this video) is that the civilian version of the armalite rifle that was adopted by the U.S. military is that the civilian version doesn't have select fire…gotcha

If ar 15's got banned we have another option which is the Ak 47

Rzr2ffe - posted on May 13, 2019 4:12 am

Assault Rifle is a valid military term. Assault Weapon is a political/legal term.

Nick Lamgamer - posted on June 6, 2019 10:45 am

in video games, assault rifles are mostly used to classify guns like ak47, akm, or scal-l, while carbines are mostly used to classify guns like ar-15, m4a1, and aug, but sometime assault rifle and carbine are merged into one single gun type since they are same thing but different names.

Tiberius - posted on June 13, 2019 3:28 pm

Assault weapon is an action of the rifle. AK47 is an assault weapon. AR is built for single shot and it can easily modified to rapid fire. It became an assault weapon. Keep residing get this weapon as if it is like a bolt action rifle. I don’t give a shit whatever type of rifle you carry. Just don’t make excuses to some psychopath gun owners who shoot people who prefer not to carry firearms. People need to respect each other right. It our right to bare arms and their right not to bare arms.

is this automatic or not

Jmac - posted on August 11, 2019 9:28 pm

Speaking as a person who owns multiple firearms from a G19 to a model 700 Remington to an 870 pump action shotgun, NO civilian should be able to own an AR-15, which is identical to the "assault rifle" with the exception of the automatic fire.
With drum magazines at 100+ round capacity, shooting virtually the same bullet, and an ability to easily obtain or make your own bump stock, an AR-15 is exactly as deadly in the hands of any idiot with an IQ of 75+ as an "assault rifle". I would argue more deadly, as a bump stock is going to reduce a person's accuracy as opposed to a "true" fully automatic.

Las Vegas and the blood of every other American murdered by these weapons is on YOUR hands for enabling it, and in some cases, encouraging or even doing it yourselves.

These idiots who think the ar is an Assault Rifle just don't have a clue. Just shows you they believe what the news tells them.

janet schwartz - posted on September 7, 2019 5:52 am

I like what your "trying" to do but… you suck at it, the liberals are making up word games n you r being dumb to play them. First off ALL firearms are assault weapons because they fire bullets thats what they are for whether you assult cans, people, or deer changes nothing, the gun control argument should fail purely on its lack of merit, i mean like automobiles are so very deadly look at how many get killed by them if we cant ban them we need to restrict them to single occupant, capacities and reduce their travel speeds to foot travel equivalent speed and the roads would for sure be safer then

Nichoals Nastari - posted on September 10, 2019 7:51 pm
