Shouldn't it be said that Chicago, HAS the HIGHEST homicide rate by guns and yet the STRICTEST gun control laws? And now you are including gang warfare. Get your facts right!! and present the right information, quit cherry-picking.

3:30 Vox insinuates inequality of how unfair it is that "blacks" are being murdered at a higher rate… as though its the guns fault?. Perhaps you should give us the statistics of the demographic of people that committed those homicides against black people? Oh wait, nevermind… that doesn't fit your narrative. Let's not address the actual issue, let's just blame something else.

Only a unobservant person would believe this.

Aaron Whitney - posted on September 13, 2019 12:32 am

The video left out many crucial points that would make the entire thing false. The data is so messed up and not only it is not true but it’s missing so much important details. Get your facts people.

A gun has never killed one person in the existence of human kind. NOT ONE. But people have…

Except there is no correlation between gun ownership and crime, gun deaths or mass shooting

Gun should be illegal

Skewed stats. Plain and simple.

Newman64 - posted on September 14, 2019 6:34 pm

idc what your "mass shooting" numbers say. their have been more dead bodies caused by a singular government who confescated guns than those killed in mass shootings within the last 20 years.

Hank - posted on September 15, 2019 3:46 am

9/14/2019 US is currently 16th in the world for homicide by gun. But we have 3 times more guns than any other country. Interesting. It's almost as if your argument is BS.

you guys ever thought about how law abiding citizens arent the ones that commit crimes? If we ban guns, people are going to get weapons either way.

Liberal air-heads, please! The stomping you give American GUN OWNERSHIP isn't balanced with WORLD HISTORY (the Holocaust, anybody?) or what has PAID FOR THE MISERY THAT CAUSES VIOLENCE in the U.S., namely an IMPORTED ECONOMY that guarantees VIOLENCE. No, you didn't include any of that juicy gossip in your air-headed video, DID YOU?…

"In the 90s when crime rates were higher"….. I hope you people realize during the 90s there was an assault weapons ban…. from 97-04……. crime decreased AFTER that ban was lifted

Instead of doing a chart per million people. Do it on per million guns. Your numbers may change

Fact: 2 out of 3 gun deaths in America are suicides.

Zachary Hsieh - posted on September 30, 2019 11:13 pm

Just because the numbers are drastically higher doesn't mean that it's still a problem. You can't give us comparisons when all the death counts are so miniscule that it doesn't even matter. With about 10k gun murders a year, and 2813503 deaths in total last year. This leaves us with 0.355% of deaths are caused by gun murders. That's so minuscule that it doesn't even matter at all.

Ali Ghobashy - posted on October 1, 2019 11:48 pm

I’m sorry I don’t think guns cause more suicides. Without guns people would still do it as effectively as they possibly could

VIII Maus - posted on October 2, 2019 3:07 pm

American's consider 3 or more people being injured by a firearm to be a "mass shooting".

anccert - posted on October 3, 2019 1:48 am

Vox, why did you lie about your data?

James G - posted on October 3, 2019 6:31 pm

This is the manipulative reporting I have seen. You are a shoe for a job at the times.

Chris Ast - posted on October 3, 2019 8:51 pm

Laws don’t directly correlate to stopping things from happening. They offer a rule that if broken, has consequences. If you dont care about the consequences, you wont follow the law. It only affects law abiding citizens.
