Amen Pastor ??
Good news here………
GOD IS OMNISCIENT AND PERFECT. THE BIBLE IS HUMAN:
Quran: 4V82
So don't they think about the Koran? If it had been from [anyone] other than Allah, they would have found many contradictions in it.
1 / Biblical errors:
(Isaie 40v22; Ezec 7v3): The earth is flat.
(Marc 13v27, Jérémie 16v19): The earth is flat and presents extremes.
(Job 9v6) The earth is put in columns.
Psalm 104 V5: Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it may not be removed forever.
Hebrews 1V10-11 and Psalm 102V25-26:
This Almighty God created the heavens and the earth and they will perish.
Ecclesiastes 1V4 and Psalms 78V69:
The earth will remain forever.
The snake only eats dust.
(Joshua 10v12): The sun revolves around the earth.
(Genesis 1v17): The moon emits its own light.
(Genesis 11v13): Plants exist before the sun on the third day.
(Genesis 1v17): The sun was created on the fourth day. This is how man is created before air.
(Leviticus 11v6): The rabbit and the hare ruminate when it is false.
(Leviticus 11v13–19 Deut 14v11–18): The bat is a bird while it is a mammal.
2 / contradictions of the Bible:
Who killed Goliath ?: 1 / (Samuel 17v23 — 50): David who killed him.
2 / (2 Samuel 21v19): It was Elhanan who killed him, the truth is lost.
(John 10:30) I (Jesus) and the Father are "a" and
(John 14:28): The Father is older than me.
(Matthew 10: 5) Do not go to the Gentiles! && (Matthew 28:19) Go, make disciples of all the nations.
(Matthew 16: 17-19): You (Peter) are blessed (—) I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. && (Matthew 16v23): Jesus said to Peter: "Come back, Satan, you are an obstacle for me which makes me stumble …
(John 8:29): Jesus: He who sent me is with me, he did not leave me alone. && (Matthew 27:46): Jesus cried out: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
(Genesis 32v30 Exodus 24v9-11): Jacob saw God face to face. && (John 1v18): No one has seen God.
Jeremiah 3v12): God: "I do not keep my anger forever.
(Jeremiah 17v4): Because you have kindled the fire of my anger (of God), and it will burn forever.
(Genesis 7V1 Job 2v3): Man can be right. && (Romans 3v10): Man cannot be right.
(Genesis 2v7 2v19): God created man and then the animal. && (Genesis 1v24 — 27): God created the animal then the man.
Quran 17V88:
Say, "If humanity and the jinn came together to produce things similar to this Qur'an, they could not do the same, even if they were assistants to each other."
This one was especially good…thanks much. Diane in NC

Pastor Jack, I started studies of the Bible with Chuck Missler and Chuck Smith years ago. I continue my studies with many of the Calvary Chapel churches. You give me meat that I need and not a warm, fuzzy feeling that wears off as soon as I exist the church. You an amazing teacher. I love your heart and tenacity for God's word. God Bless you and your church.
I sometimes, maybe inappropriately, claim promises made to Israel for myself since All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: So my favorite promise is Isaiah 49:25
But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. Is it permissable to do this?
I experienced that, the Lord showing me something in my life this morning …in my quiet time, my Bible reading time… thank you, Bro Jack
62 doesn't seem that old, to me! I'm 59. For me, every year the age that 'old age' starts gets higher! 🙂
Thank you for these teachings.
Love your program. I'm learning so much. God bless
Is there a place where I can get a hard copy of the eight steps. I would like to be able to give them to the two people I am talking to trying to get them to begin reading the Bible. Having that at their side with definitely help them understand it better.
You are 62? …. wow, young looking. Thanks. You helped bring me to Christ just over 7 years ago. You helped me grow. I am currently churchless, having been kicked out of the church I attended, cos you guys helped me find them. They removed me for daring to pray for a man in prison who the pastor did not like. I am going through a lot of hurt right now, so would appreciate prayers. The pastor even told me she did not think I was a Christian because I prayed for someone they did not like … it really hurt.
Just keep on teaching like you did for the 23 years we were with you. Your teaching saved my life through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!
Love all of your videos. You are my Pastor all the way from Illinois. ???✝️
Your ministry and bible teaching makes a huge difference in my life. I do not have my own church. You all are wonderful. I thank God for you.
Since pastor Jack didn't explain it fully. I'll provide the understanding. 1st he speaks of the Holy Spirit. Let's see what the Holy Spirit is. Acts 7:51-53 King James Version (KJV)
51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
So resisting the Holy Spirit is not keeping the commandments according to The Most High.
So there you can see that the forefathers of the Isrealites did not keep the laws of God hence why they received the curses of Deuteronomy 28:15-68. Let's get another witness.
John 6:63 King James Version (KJV)
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
So the Lord explains it is his word that quickened your spirit not a water baptism. The word of God is the Spirit, meaning the laws, statutes, and commandments. Because he is the word of God pursuant to John 1:1, John 1:14, and Revelation 19:12-13. So if you don't keep the Word your not saved, nor is you spirit quickened. Pastor Jack actually read the verses that explain it. Timothy 3:16-17 King James Version (KJV)
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Well the scriptures are the Word of God. He commands of to use them for good doctrine, for reproof of each other in correcting one ourselves and one another and instructing each other in his righteousness. And what is his righteousness? Psalm 119:172 King James Version (KJV)
172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.
What is good doctrine? Proverbs 4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
The point is the Pastor here should be telling you to keep the commandments, and the faith of Jesus Christ, for there is no other way to be saved, and by the way no one is saved. Lets reproof like the Lord stated in 2 Timothy 3:16 says. Watch Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Notice it doesn't say is saved, it says SHALL be saved.
Remember keep the commandments for this is how one obtains faith pursuant to Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
So if you haven't kept the law how could you possibly have faith.
I'll leave you with this to see if we are supposed to keep the commandments to enter into the kingdom of Heaven. Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Also Paul states in in 1 Timothy 1:8-10, 1 John 2:3-5 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected. Shalom.
These videos are great. I love your teaching with such enthusiasm
Thanks Pastor Jack – I am now a proud owner of a Ryrie Bible and Commentaries by Dr Warren Weirsbe… I love your style and teaching talent.. your awesome… God Bless you
I'd like to add a cautionary tale. I grew up in the church, was saved just before my 7th birthday, but reading the Bible didn't always make sense. In time I put the Bible up. Later in my teens I rededicated my life to the Lord, was refilled with the Holy Spirit, and began reading my Bible again. I read the New Testament first, and found that exciting, then when to the Old Testament and found sections that were really hard to get through, but I did it. During this time I didn't hear God speaking to me. The words didn't jump off of the page, like I'd heard others say they did. Yet, later on in life I found that because I kept up my Bible reading, He DID in fact begin to speak to me through His Word. It's gotten to be where I'll be emailing someone and a Scripture verse comes to mind and I add it into my email and expound on it. So what I'm saying is, you may not hear God speaking to you right off the bat. The words you are reading may not connect with your life, yet, but give it time and it will. Not only that, but it will change your life. When Jesus said to Satan, "Man does not live by bread alone," He was quoting Scripture so that we would know that God's Word is the food we need to be feasting on. Great video Pastor Jack Hibbs.
62?? I always thought he was in his 40s?? Wow, he ages well. God bless you Pastor Jack! And thank you for this. It is well needed for me
I have definitely grown. I am now embarking on a full blown Bible study. I have never done this and am so excited and enjoying it so much. Never read about who wrote the books, never read where or why etc. Now it is becoming way more interesting. And God is speaking to me in amazing ways. Thank you. You are a blessing in my life. So glad I found Calvary Chapel and Pastor Jack Hibbs. When I go to church I go home and cannot remember a single thing the preacher said. But I share your sermons with others.
Thank you pastor for sharing this series. I have no context to studying Gods word in an academic setting; but this video truly gives an excellent outline and process as to, how to study Gods word. The stress you emphasize on the "Application" of Gods word in our daily life is very humbling and nice to hear. Now if we try, and God willing for the future of humanity, take the concept of application a step further and like you suggested, correlate the past, present, and future to scripture; and try to see how Gods living word exceeds all space and time, through history and has always and will be victorious and applicable to all things good and true is truly amazing. Thank you for sharing this information to deepen all Brothers and Sisters walk with the one true God, Yah. Amen and blessings be with you.
Amen Thank you for sharing this message the Word is alive and active sharper than a two edged sword, I love it I read it dailyJesus Christ is alive and helps us through His Word haven’t stopped reading it since I got saved it’s my daily spiritual food. IM SO GLAD YOU SAID POSITIVE THINGS ABOUT OTHER PASTORS/THEOLOGIANS BECAUSE I STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ALL THE DISAGREEMENTS AMONG BELIEVERS IT'S VERY DISCOURAGING AND I HAVE MOST OF THOSE PASTORS BIBLES OR STUDY MATERIALS AND LIKED THEM, BUT I WAS DISCOURAGED TO FIND OUT ANOTHER STUDY GUIDE I FOLLOWED WAS WILLIAM BARCLAY STUDY BOOKS FROM ACTS TO REVELATION AND THEN FOUND OUT HE BELIEVES IN UNIVERSAL SALVATION ( THAT EVERYONE WILL GET SAVED) AND HE DOESNT BELIEVE IN THE VIRGIN BIRTH. VERY UPSETTING!
