Script:.
There was a time in my life when I was angry, bitter, and deeply dissatisfied.
I wished to blast the whole fascist system: the greedy, uncaring class structure that didn’t appreciate me or the rest of society’s innocent victims; a system that had robbed, beaten, and stolen from my ancestors.
The whole corrupt erection was worthy of to be brought down; reduced to debris.
I was a perfect recruit for Antifa, the left-wing group which declares to fight against fascism.
And, so, I ended up being a member.
Now I was among those who had the guts to combat versus “the fascists” who were exploiting disadvantaged people.
I wasn’t ‘a card-carrying Antifascist.’ There is no such thing as official Antifa subscription. But I was prepared at a minute’s notice to slip on the black mask and march in what Antifa calls “the black bloc”– a cadre of other black-clad Antifa members– to tease authorities and ruin home.
Antifa represents “Antifascist,” however that’s purposefully deceptive. For something, the very name is adjusted so that anybody who attempts to criticize the group or its tactics can be identified “fascist.” This allows Antifa to justify violence versus all who dare stand up to or speak up versus them.
A couple of groups boldly state themselves Antifa like “Rose City Antifa” in Portland. Many do not, preferring to avoid the unfavorable publicity.
That’s part of Antifa’s appeal– and strength. It’s difficult to determine. There’s no recognizable leader.
To be part of Antifa you must embrace two fundamental principles. Initially, you need to have the mentality of an “Antifascist.” And second, you need to be willing to impose that mindset.
To adopt an Antifascist mentality indicates to turn down everything that is fascism. That asks the concern: What is fascism?
While a lot of Americans associate fascism with Nazi Germany or modern dictatorial states like Venezuela, China, and North Korea, to Antifa, fascism indicates Judeo-Christian worths and capitalism.
As an Antifa group said on its Twitter account in 2018, “The fight against fascism is just won when the capitalist system is smashed.”.
And they imply smash: breaking windows, taking apart statues, throwing Molotov cocktails, looting and burning companies, and harassing and physically attacking individuals.
We saw it all in the summer of 2020. In Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, and other cities.
Antifa is not exclusively accountable for all left-wing political violence. Not every attack by a left-wing radical is an Antifa attack.
Antifa exemplifies the worst of this unsafe ideology, which is becoming bolder and more widespread in American society.
Signing up with Antifa was the worst decision of my life.
Like anyone who gets out something bad; I experienced something excellent– the very system that I had looked for to destroy. Buddies– people who turned out to be my real buddies– pointed me to challenging thinkers like Milton Friedman, Thomas Sowell, and Ben Shapiro; and eventually companies like the Leadership Institute and PragerU. Antifa and the extreme left did not care about constructing a much better society, they cared about control.
I always anticipated to keep my past a trick. But as I saw cities around the country struggling against the rise of left-wing political violence while even liberal and left-wing political leaders said nothing, I knew I needed to speak out. The Left will obliterate what it means to be a complimentary American if individuals like me who know what is truly behind Antifa do not.
Here I am.
