Exists an afterlife– life after this life ends? There probably isn’t an individual who hasn’t asked this issue at one time or another.
And here’s the response: If there is a God, there is an afterlife. It’s that fundamental.
And here’s why:
This life is filled with a numerous amount of oppression and suffering. The only way there can be some supreme justice for victims of evil is if there is an afterlife. If there is an afterlife, and the only technique comfort is readily offered to those who suffer unjustly– from painful disease and early death to the death of a kid– is.
Such an afterlife exists just if there is a good and just God. A great and just God uses a method to compensate for all the unjust suffering in this world.
Second, thinking about that God is not physical, the real world is not the only reality. If there is no God, this physical life is all there is. No God, no soul; no soul, no afterlife.
You have to believe there’s an afterlife if you think in a great God. If you say you believe in God but not in an afterlife, the god you believe in is not simply not exceptional, that god is harsh.
Now, some individuals who do not think in an afterlife supply their own variation of immortality. I as soon as went to a funeral service where the guy officiating stated, “While there is no afterlife, we do survive on– through our greats and in the memories of loved ones.”
That’s what a great deal of individuals who decrease an afterlife want to think.
The idea that humans “live on” through their good works or through the memories of enjoyed ones– which generally shows a person’s kids or grandchildren– is simply useless.
If individuals endure on “through their greats,” then children who pass away do not “reside on.” The variety of “greats” most kids are even capable of is tiny. When it comes to children who pass away, well, kids can’t take part in greats at all so, I think, they just do not “endure on.”
Anyhow, the reality is that bad works normally reside on longer than nearly any greats. In reality, if works make us immortal, Hitler, with all the evil he did, is far more never-ceasing than the kindest people in the world.
