Do YOU have any physical evidence for the alleged JC?
The story gets bigger and bigger. Much like tales that are told in our families where legends grow and grow.
You’re a doofus.
Anything can be made compatible with faith with a little creativity and imagination.
This feels so much like Sean is twisting the words of the authors of the verses he quoted. He comes across to me as needing us to read the verses in a way very unlikely what the original authors meant instead of what was most likely intended.
Not that the NT is univocal, but if we look at the faith chapter in Hebrews, it defines faith as belief in things one hasn't seen. At the very least, this means believing something even though you lack certain kinds of evidence that many would prefer to have.
Word of mouth changes it is not exactly evidence for anything
Jesus and the disciples had a different relationship with God than those around them. They understood thy (God's) will to be literal. It is not enough to believe or have faith that God is real you have to know God is real and you can only have that by having a personal relationship with God and Jesus along with his brothers had that kind of relationship that allows you to believe without evidence. You know it can only be God's word, work, or will. We are talking about God almighty here, right? doubt is a strengthening tool he uses to great affect. Seek and yea shall find. ❤️🙏RW
Paul has earlier accounts than the gospels talking about the resurrection
Such a silly claim when all the Gospels have miracles and resurrections. This guy isn't as smart as he thinks he is.
Jesus lives! ♥️ and is Yahweh God 🙏🏻 Christ ✝️ and King 👑
@SeanMcDowell
1- Do you understand that being told by others a story is not the same level of evidence as having first-person experience? Do you understand how evidence works??
2- The "same story is there" because the other gospels copied the same story from Mark's gospel, then they added more stories to it
You should see if you can get a spot on Alex O'Connor's podcast. That would be interesting to watch.
Also, earlier than the gospels, Paul’s epistles have more resurrection appearances
Each gospel focuses on a different aspect of the life of Christ: Luke focuses more on his birth. That’s why they included them! If it was just repeating word for word what would be the point??
So ultimately, you should just believe whatever you're told.
Got it.
Faith isn't blind like non believers say; it's more like saying based on previous experience/interaction with you I can predict that you gonna come through in the future in simple terms.
@jimmylicata5336 It’s not just the skeptics. I believe in God and I ask the same question. What evidence do we have other than humans saying it is so that Christ rose from the dead?
WOW! The skeptics are really in full force. I love that these guys are subscribed and have the bell notification so they can be the first to ad hoc and showcase their bulverisms.
Love and appreciate you Sean! ❤
This is great content! One of my favorite verses on this topic is in Peter where he says
“You love Him, even though you’ve never seen Him.” CHILLS
If we accept the idea that Mark 16:9-20 are a fictional addition to the Mark manuscript, it still has 16:1-8 which are entirely consistent with other Gospel post resurrection accounts that do include interpersonal appearances by the Risen Christ
Come on Sean, you’re better than this. Go back and read your book again.
yep, jesus says believe without evidence. He chides Thomas for asking for evidence and says it is better believe without it.
Nice to see how Sean tries to lie about his bible. nice to see how he tries to claim that the disciples had "different evidence" which is quite the lie since they had no evidence at all. They had baseless claims from Thomas' point of view. That's why Thomas had to ask.
Curious how these christians find they must outright lie about what their bible says.
I can’t prove to you that I’m God so you’ll be blessed if you assume I am and you’ll burn forever if you reject me. Let’s see if any of you Christians can follow true divinity.
I don’t have evidence. I just have Christians saying they believe the character witnesses in the story. That’s several levels of blind faith.
I think humans have forgotten where they live. No matter your religion, or lack there of, you will see all the evidence you need out in nature. In the ever changing trees, in the soil so rich with stunning minerals, in the seas and rivers that contain the most fanciful animals imaginable. I think we’ve gotten too complacent. Waiting for magic tricks to appear before your eyes will NEVER get you the result you’re expecting; even if they DO happen. It’s time to ACTUALLY touch grass.
Wow❤ thanks bro🙏🙏
