John 1– The Word Becomes Human

John starts his Gospel account by introducing Jesus as the Word of God, echoing the opening chapters of Genesis, where God developed life through his spoken word. The world needed a new start, so God’s magnificent word spoke again, but this time, the word ended up being a human named Jesus.
