If "GOD" means lucifer than sure

If the virus itself is a judgment from God than it certainly is a mild judgment.
To me it would seem more like the real crux of the situation is the reaction of world governments and the world's people. For many Christians this is a time to live without fear under the power of God. For the world, this a the time to live in fear and to look to the government to take care of you. Talk about a priming of the minds of the people for a highly controlling world government!
I truly believe that this is another major piece of the prophetic puzzle falling in place in support of the beast.

In my opinion I think God wants the church to repent of It's sins and idolatry first, Judgement begins at the house of the Lord! The Lord is trying to get people's attention, repent because my wrath is going to be poured out in the tribulation. The judgement of God can lead people to repentence.David Reagan was not afraid to say judgement of God was coming!Peace,Doreen

Nothing happens unless god allows it.

Nothing happens without God performing or permitting. And even though we might not understand, that doesn't make Him any less right.

Actually, Jonah did NOT preach a message of repentance (1:33). His task was simply to declare "Yet 40 days and you get yours!" (Jonah 1 v 2; 3 v 4). But Jonah knew that if the Ninevites repented, God would relent. That would mean he was a false prophet – he'd preached judgement and judgement hadn't come. Therefore he fled in the opposite direction. Eventually God got his attention (we all know how) so he went back to Nineveh and preached judgement. But the Ninevites repented! And God spared them! And that's why he was hopping mad (4 v 1). He was mad because what he'd feared would happened had actually happened. "โ€œDidnโ€™t I say before I left home that you would do this, LORD? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people.
Just kill me now, LORD! Iโ€™d rather be dead than alive if what I predicted will not happenโ€ (4 v 2, 3).

People can repent before judgement falls, and God will show mercy. The Ninevites had NO guarantee that He would (3 v 9 is explicit on this point).

I don't think it's the hand of God judging, but rather the stupidity inherent in mankind ever since Adam & Eve. For example, look at the cases of the corona virus in Italy. Untold amounts of people getting sick. Why? Because of all the religious people putting their faith into pagan practices. You've got tons of people kissing statues and visiting shrines hoping their prayers will be answered. First, that's actually idol worship. You've got hundreds of people daily performing such practices. Even if a few dozen carriers of the virus kissing statues and everyone crammed into a small area like a can of sardines, people are going to catch it. And hundreds of people each day waiting for the pope to show the people his mug. That's not social distancing. Five hundred people packed to see/hear the pope? That's five hundred new cases of corona virus recipients daily. But that's not really God judging those people. They only have themselves to blame.

The world is ripe for God's judgment. This could be the last warning for the church to repent and the world.

Jesus said that as the end times prophecies converge (birth pangs) there will be tribulation. This is such a sign. He is trying to tell us to come back. We have drifted too far away. I have seen 2 significant results from this pandemic: one positive and one negative. The positive is more people are purchasing and reading the Bible. 40% of Americans say that this is either a punishment or warning from the Father. (This means that at least they are taking note.) The negative…The corruption and greed with our government and corporate America. $2 trillion was earmarked to help the American people get back on their feet. Yet, $504 billion went to corporations and big businesses to help "bail them out." That is 1/4 of the total. And the list goes on. The average American gets a one time $1200 stimulus, while millionaires get a $1.2 million tax kickback. I am afraid that America is going the way of Sodom and Gomorrah, and as Christians we need to flee the coming storm and find our comfort in the Lord.

Straight to the point. Good summary. I think this is most certainly the outstretched hand of God. People have to realise the whole world lies in wickedness. I have always thought this world was unjust, full of vanity and evil. I didn't need God to tell me that. I'm in agreement with God so why should we not expect God not to judge the world. Not everyone is wicked but just as Jesus was a victim of the world many innocents are victims too and God knows exactly who they are. God knows all hearts and will render to each person according to their ways. With God perfect justice in guaranteed. God will rule the world and those that chose good over evil, I believe, are in the book of life and will live in the future world. God says the meek shall inherit the earth.
In the OT we learn that God judged with wars, famine, pestilence plagues, evil angels and increased devils. God cursed and made the people drunk, asleep, mad, blind. God is a whirlwind, flood, overflowing scourge, consuming fire. God hid himself from the wicked world but God has been judging the world as he did Israel in the OT. God became Israel's enemy and God is the world's enemy because man consistently rejects his maker and is wicked. we may think some people are not so bad but God knows people better than we do!
