Some of the people here with their primitive beliefs are proof of evolution, that we came from a more primitive state. The culture of the ancient middle is still taken seriously and people still believe in magic.

Q Louis Mendoza - posted on March 26, 2011 2:47 pm

@Chessie You can go ahead and make your choices without God because you are going to any way. You don't know what truth is all about..

Wow, I'm amazed at the extremely bad grammer in these comments. Am I supposed to listen to anything you have to say if you cannot even properly form a coherent sentence?

juan devevo - posted on April 17, 2012 2:09 pm

I am pretty sure that I do NOT believe that what I believe is real. I am of the philosophical school that there is some underpinning fundamental reality to the universe toward which scientific discovery asymptotically approaches, but I don't think most scientists think this way. The set of currently accepted physical laws may be very useful for explaining phenomena, but they might not imply a singular framework of the universe where there is isomorphic ambiguity.

The majority of us believe what we are told, especially if we are told by someone we respect or admire or emulate. But, what happens when what we are told is actually false or a lie? How would we be able to know? We believe everything about history we are told because we have no other choice and because the exam question only has one right answer. Most of our history comes from interpretations of documents written after the fact by someone who never actually witnessed the events themselves; that and some broken pottery. Yet, the Bible is taken from a tremendous amount of sources which are amazingly consistent and from different languages for that matter. The New Testament is recorded from actual witnesses of the day but, more and more people will believe any other historical revelation no matter the source and disregard the Bible as fiction even though the Bible is readily available to anyone to read for themselves. Romans 1:25, " They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the creator – who is forever praised, Amen"
