Lesson 4 - Theology: Who is God?

Lesson 4 – Theology: Who is God?

Eternal life, according to Jesus, is knowing God in an intimate, personal, and relational way. Such knowledge, which is possible only because of divine revelation, transforms us from the inside out as we begin to see ourselves in the light of His majesty and holiness. Visit for more information.

@dpapaioannow Your right, God is "beyond human comprehension!" but simple?? hmm…. is our univers simple? anyone saying yes would be a complete fool! God is Creator of the univers..simple? i think not!! yes we all will die, if you dont find Him here on earth, you wont have Him in eternity! Ask God to reveal Himself to you, and see just how real and relational He is!! take care:) bth His name is Jesus!!

@dpapaioannow Is that a joke?? Jesus claimed to be God all over the Bible hahaha! John 10:30 " I and the Father are one" John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am" If Jesus didnt claim to be God then why did they kill him??? Cause He claimed to be God!!!!! you say keep my faith to myself, and your irreligious, but your whatching videos about my faith and comenting on them. your obviosly curious:) I know why, do you?? and yes take care.

@dpapaioannow interesting comments. one thing u lack in is the knowledge of what you are talking about. read the bible. understand it. u said "he said he couldnt do ANYTHING without god's permission, was he reffering to himself then too?" he was submitting to God the Father – not forcefully, but willingly. understand that there are three parts to God, (Father, Spirit, Son). He was showing that He was submitting. "christianity has nothing to do with christ". i find that interesting. if

@dpapaioannow CHRISTianity has nothing to do with CHRIST…then im confused at whut ur point is. also, look at the end of the book of John where He told us to go into the world and preach the gospel (the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ and whut He did for us). we do not "bash" it on you, but we put it out there for people to contemplate for themselves. that, and it is all up to you what you believe, but i warn you of the consequences that will come upon you if you do not simply ask for

@dpapaioannow you are not understanding. its difficult to understand that there is three parts to God, so i understand ur confusion. Jesus was not submitting to Jesus, He was submitting to God the Father. dpapaioannow, i enjoy this conversation (srry that i didnt answer fer a while). try to look at my view point, as i am trying to see urs. by whut do u mean by Christ has nothing to do with Christianity? are u looking at those that call themselves Christians, but are actually not? anyone

P' tar - posted on October 20, 2010 4:05 pm

@dpapaioannow can call themselves a Christian, bu that doesnt mean that they are one. they have to profess Jesus as Lord and Savior. also, God does not want to send anyone to an eternal darkness. He wants to give everyone eternal life. but He gives us all a choice (we are not robots that HAVE to obey). God is Holy, He cannot accept sin. now, today those words are misunderstood. i am no going to fully explain it, (unless you want me to) but i will say that Christ died for us, so that we

@dpapaioannow will be holy in God's sight. Sin has to be punished. either by us (eternal darkness) or by Jesus (eternal life). if we do not accept Christ's gift of dying on the cross for us, then we ourselves will have to pay the price for whut we have done (and no, God did not make us sinful). dpapaioannow, reply to this. i may not reply immediately, but i will try my best.

@dpapaioannow Jesus called Himself the I AM (God). He said that He and the Father are One. He also promised that the Holy Spirit would come when He left. there is the trinity.

@dpapaioannow have u seen the movie "the end of the spear"? it is a true story. there is this tribe, that has no contact with the rest of the world, no knowledge of Jesus, and they have their own "god". and yet, one of the tribesmen thinks "there must be more than this". so, 5 missionaries feel led to go to this tribe and preach the gospel to them coincidence???? no. even those who do not have the gospel can feel that there is more than whut they have. if this happens, God will answer.

P' tar - posted on October 22, 2010 1:26 pm

@dpapaioannow watch the movie. try it. even just look it up. it is a true story.

@dpapaioannow yes, i hear an echo…the cry of your heart for a big discussion. i see that you do not want to be convinced (which in itself is your own conviction), so you will come up with anything to say to push it aside. instead of answering indirectly, lets have a conversation where we answer each other. i dont want to bash u, and neither am i trying to, i just want to have a conversation.
PS u watch the End of the Spear yet?

amen! its like the "God's box" analogy. God has a box, and the cosmos is inside that box. God can look inside the box, He can put His hand inside the box (and change whut goes on inside the box). Time is in the box as well. God is outside the box, so He is not ruled by time.
