Here’s a management concern, PastorJohn Does 1 Timothy 2: 12 expose the opportunity that females are allowed to teach in the regular celebration of a regional church as an expansion of the male seniors of the church or as an expression under their regulating authority? For instance, is the other half of a priest totally free to teach in a Sunday celebration? No as it it written there were 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins. Women that preach to men are of the 5 foolish. To be honest Remember all the men who wrote the Bible were Arabs. Take one look at the middle east and ask yourself seriously did Paul think it is ok for women to preach or be a pastor? Obviously that's a doctrine from femanism. My wife knows the truth and cares nothing of preaching. She always pushes me to be the stronger of us two. The Bible isn't the problem it's modern philosophy. If my wife can do it so can they.

No. The bible is clear that they can't. Men cannot override God's Word although wordfaith, prosperity preaching goes against His word all the time. You also need to read Paul's letters to the Corinthian church. He reiterated that women are to remain quiet in the "churchES". Meaning not just the Corinthian church, but all churches.

This is a tough one for the feminist of today. Then again being a woman of God is a tough one for women today. A woman of God is submissive, meek, gentle, quiet, modest. Most women of today, especially in Babylon America think this is weakness and strive and desire to be the opposite. Just watch the comments from the women and see for yourself. And the men are becoming like women. Most of you in the comment section are fake Christians. You don’t love the Word you love yourself. You have created a Jesus made in your image with attributes after your own wicked heart. Scariest words in the Bible is when you will be standing before Him claiming to have known Him and loved Him and He will say “away from me you who practice lawlessness, I never knew you.”

Just heard a women preach at a local 'Antioch' Church. She was long on pop-psychology and other publications, which she recommended. However, she did have more Scripture in her sermon than the male pastors had in theirs. Overall, a little bit to much 'autobiographical eisegesis' where some good Scripture would have gone a lot further.

I am a man and, the problem I see with most believing men is, they are very quick to preach to their wives "Wives submit to your own husbands" and "Women are not allowed to teach men" etc. Well, that is absolutely the correct teaching, as per the scriptures. However, it is an error to ignore the other verses in Ephesians 5 where it also says "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it".

Men, have you ever asked yourself why "the church" so willingly submits to the headship of Christ? Its because the church is utterly overcome by the love of Christ that led him to willingly lay down his life for her. It is impossible for the church to be non-submissive to someone who demonstrated his love in such a manner. I humbly suggest to every believing man to do even as Christ did – love your wife like Christ did, and your wife will find it so much harder to be non-submissive to you.

God have the absolute authority over His creation. He created the man Adam to reflect the man Christ Jesus, and the woman Eve to represent the church. God established this order in the Old Testament and gave it to Moses recorded in Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers. It was not Moses that gave the order of ordaining leadership, pastors, elders, bishops, deacons, priests. Paul clearly understood this, thus was reflected in his writings. However, he was not writing his own thoughts as he has no such authority, but it was the authority of the Holy Spirit that speaks through Paul. So, when people questions Paul, who are they really challenging, but God. Jesus Himself elected 12 apostles, Mtt 10:2-5. Judas killed himself, and Christ Himself came down from heaven to choose Paul to replace Judas. Jesus later chooses 70 elders,Luke 10:1.Did Jesus forgot that there were more women disciples following Him than men? To say that Jesus say nothing about this topic is a clear indication of ignorance and lack of intelligence on the part of the person or persons or institutions who are driving this concept. It is the prerogative of Almighty God to give the order of worship, and He has never authorized any man to change it, but the church today is challenging God through these church policies. All denominational churches use the Scriptures to try to prove their position and political views, but it is simply a corruption and abuse of Scripture, 2 Cor 2:17 For 6 thousand years, the church have been operated under these principles, and just lately, the church has come up with this fancy dance move, women ordination. Such is the faulty reasoning of church leadership today. Principles in God's Word DO NOT change, no matter what reasoning the church leadership comes up with.

Rules : Disgraceful
Has anyone ever told you about any of these verses? Almost certainly not. Yet, they are basic, and have been in the Bible for thousands of years! What good does it do if you violate Matthew 5:19 { It is unmistakable clear}
1Corinthians 14:34  Women should remain silent in churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission , as the law says.
1Cointhians 14:35  If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their husbands at home, for it is disgraceful for a women to speak in the church.
1 Timothy 2:10-14  But with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works. Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
It is the craft of Satan to make us think and speak of the Divine law as uncertain or unreasonable, and so to draw us to sin; it is our wisdom to keep up a firm belief of God's commands, and a high respect for it.
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Ephesians 5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
Matthew 5:19 Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Galatians 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!
Hebrews 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins,
Isaiah 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.   Colossians 2:8   Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ.
Proverbs 28:9 If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.
Can the Father be any more clear?Psalm 75:8 The LORD holds a cup in his hand, filled with the strong wine of his wrath. He pours it out, and all the wicked drink it; they drink it down to the last drop.
Matthew 5:19   Gods wrath comes on those who are disobedient
John 15:6  If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
So than, let no  religious Preacher,  Minister , Pastor , Church or anybody tell you any  different.    Proverbs 28:9  If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.

My church has no women Elders, no female pastors, but they do have many (maybe more than 50%) women teaching Adult Bible classes where both men and women attend. I always wondered about this. I myself, female, taught a mixed Bible class for ten years. We have a ton of Bible classes ( large church) and perhaps more women are available and interested than men. Our senior pastor’s wife (she is now deceased) taught several times each weekend. When I asked about it, the answer was “all Bible class teachers are under the authority of the senior pastor.”

God's word is clear regarding this issue. Women who seek to be church elders or preachers to have authority over men in the church, or in the home, defy God's law and it represents a rebellion against the design for His creation. So it is equally destructive for men not to fulfill their responsibility as Christ like leaders by abrogating their duties. Both have serious consequences for all involved.

I can't help but think of…. "Did God really say", as with the first women, and "Can women preach"…
Satan always begins the destruction by a subtle, seemingly innocent, question… so long as he gets the hearts door open for "innocent" conversation.

What he and his deceived hate, is…"It Is Written", KJV-1611… "Let your women keep silent in the churches".
BAM. No discussion. any further discussion recognized as ultimately from satan and his demons.

CONTEXT CONTEXT CONTEXT! There is no where in the Bible that universally prohibits women from speaking in the church. In fact in 1 Corinthians 11 Paul gives instructions on HOW A WOMAN SHOULD PRAY AND PROPHESY IN THE CHURCH. Paul never tells women not to prophesy in the church! He tells women HOW to do it (with their heads covered as a symbol of submission). The submission is the head covering, not being silent. 1 Corinthians 14 charges people who speak in tongues to be silent when there is no interpreter and women to be silent and not disrupt the church service by ASKING QUESTIONS… if they have questions they should wait and ask their husbands about it at home instead of making a scene in the church. The passage in Timothy that everyone uses to say a woman shoudn;t teach over man is the only scripture left in question. And if you study the Greek the word for usurp or have authority over has to do with violence. It’s basically saying a woman shouldn’t teach or use violence/dominate over man. You have to understand the context that Paul was telling Timothy how to deal with false teachers, and some of the pagan women were saying that woman was created first and was to dominate over man, and they used violence against men in their pagan practice. This is why Paul says man was created first then woman. Also If you read a few verses later it says that women will be saved by childbearing, which also cannot be taken directly at face value but studied. How can you say its literal that a woman should never teach but then not take “she will be saved by childbearing” literally? These verses in Timothy are considered one of the most if not the most difficult passages in scripture to interpret! Paul gives Timothy instructions for women plural, and then switches to talking about A WOMAN teaching or using violence against men. Im still studying all the verses in the Bible that have to do with women rather than just relying on the words of men. Previously I had the belief that women couldn’t preach or teach in the church only outside it, but Paul gives women instructions on how to prophesy which is the most clear and easy verse to interpret so we should look at other verses in light of those that are the most clear! You are right that it doesn’t make sense, God pours out His Spirit and fulfills the prophesy that both sons and daughters will prophesy….but only men are allowed to in the church??? No it doesn’t make sense, and if you read Pauls letters you see women prophesied in the early church. Women had more freedom to use their gifts then than we do now. Jesus chose a woman at the well to declare Him to the men in the town. Jesus chose women to reveal Himself to first at His resurrection and told them to go tell the men the good news. Women were the first to preach the good news of Christs resurrection to the APOSTLES!! Women were vital in working for the gospel. Romans 16 tells of Phoebe a women deacon who was placed over others, and over Paul himself and tells others to do for her and give her anything she needs. I believe many people dont understand what it means to have authority over and that Paul himself says a women is in submission to prophesy in the church if she does it correctly… NOT that she is having authority over anyone. Our authority is the word of God and we are empowered by the Spirit. Using our gifts for the body is not having authority over anyone. Paul gives instructions for how a church is run and tells everyone to use their gifts when they come together. The letter is to everyone, or do you think its just to men? Women weren’t allowed in the Jewish synagogues, Jesus gave women a part to play in the Christian church, He liberated women and they were given the same gifts as men. The only thing we dont really see in the NT are female elders. Other than that women had a lot of freedom, and Christ never corrected a woman for going out and proclaiming Him. 2/3 of the church are women and they have been sidelined to silent roles. Even ladies meetings are often doing silly things rather than deep study of scripture. Back in the early church the older women were so studied in the scriptures that historians said the old Christian women were more learned that many philosophers. Women were not ignorant and uneducated. 2/3 of the church is not functioning as it should be and therefore it suffers. Women are deemed pretty unnecessary when it comes to teaching. And I believe the Spirit is being quenched and grieved by unnecessary restriction of women and discouraging using many of their gifts. Jesus did not resign the women to the kitchen any more than he resigned men to work only out in the fields by the sweat of their brow as was the curse for the sexes. I believe the church suffers greatly due to 2/3 of the church being sidelined to only silent roles. Some churches dont even value women teaching women as if its unnecessary because the men preach. You cannot take difficult verses, and especially a personal letter from Paul to Timothy where you dont understand all the context and make it LAW. The modern church doesn’t even do that with the rest of Pauls writings, even those where Paul says these are instructions FROM THE LORD. In 1 Corinthians 14 we see instructions for how to run a church service which NO ONE FOLLOWS ANYMORE except the one part about women being silent which doesn’t have anything to do with the worship but rather the imprudent asking of questions. Make sure to study the word for yourself! You cant cherry pick scripture and say “the Bible is clear” you have to take into account the ENTIRE bible. None of these men ever proves that the order of creation has ANYTHING to do exercising of gifts, and the view clearly contradicts scripture. Paul in 1 Corinthians already addresses the order of creation and that as a sign of submission the prophesying woman wears a head covering, it has NOTHING to do with not using her gift in the church. God endows women with the same gifts and somehow because the minority of the church (about 1/4 men and the rest is women and children/youth) the women can’t use her gift when coming together ? Remember 1 Corinthians instructs EVERYONE to bring something of benefit in the use of their gifts when they met together. The WHOLE body using their gifts building eachother up. Or did that just mean the men?

Somehow I don’t think “teaching” establishes final “authority” over anyone let alone men. Rather, ones ability to teach demonstrates ones ability to potentially influence, whether good or bad.

Any man that has been married for a length of time can testify how his wife does influence not just the children but also himself. The responsibility rest not solely on the “influencer” but on those who are potentially influenced. However, one could argue against that when it comes to children being influenced. They for a time have no choice to logically process what is being taught, but rather, they naturally take in what they’re exposed to. With that said, yes the “man” (husband /father) is the final resting place for ultimate responsibility as seen in genesis 3. What is being taught to his wife, his children as well as what is he taking in that is potentially influencing his and his family’s identity.

I think at the end of the day leadership is not as much of an authority as much as it is a “responsibility”. Leadership that is in a position of authority is ultimately held responsible for lessons, decisions and choices that effect that sphere they are responsible too.

I just started going but I don't know if I can continue due to their neglect of the Word of God and other doctrines I disagree with. Am I supposed to speak with the pastors privately, as did Priscilla and Aquilla in Acts 18, and try to make my case from scriptures? I know they're busy people and didn't reply my last email that didn't have any rebukes in it, so I'm not sure what to do. Do I let them continue in error and possibly hurt the church?

We live in a strange time where women hate the role the Bible assigns to them. I always loved the submission verses, but that's perhaps because I had a strict dominant father and a more submissive mother. It just feels natural and fits like a glove. My husband also loves the male role in the Bible, even though he's not a believer. Actually our personalities are such that I take charge and he goes with the flow, but we both want to reverse that unpleasant dynamic and when we manage it, it feels wonderful!
