There is no such thing as a sign of faith, there is only faithfullness and unfaithfulness. Either you believe God and faithfully obey him or you don't.

It isn't the washing of water that saves you, but God who saves you by the baptism of water and the Holy Spirit. Faith isn't real until it is acted upon. If you believe God, then do what he tells you to do to be saved.

"Abraham didn't do anything…" Absolutely FALSE! Abraham believed and obeyed God for many years. What Abraham didn't do was the works of Mosaic Law because he preceded that law and Paul makes the point that the Jews were not made more righteous by obedience to the Law of Moses. You have to understand what you're reading.

Jesus was Baptized at age 31 the year 29 A.D. and died at age 33 in the year 31 A.D. Jesus was born in 2 B.C. ( if some die before 25 what happen)

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

God saves man, by grace, when man obeys God, by faith, not before. This principal is the same from the beginning of time. The method of what God ask for and what God has asked for in obedience by faith has changed from OT to NT, but man's response to whatever God says to do must be done and be done by faith. Baptism is not earning, meriting, or contributing to what Christ has done and that only His blood has the power to do. It's the APPLYING of that which does save, Christ blood, to the sinful soul of man as he is buried with Christ contacting that saving agent, His blood, that washes away and removes sin. One is raised a new creature in Him where all spiritual blessings are found. Unless one is baptized into that which all spiritual blessings are found, they are not accessing the benefits of the free gift of grace of Christ death on the cross that was given to all. Without that application of the payment of debt, the payment is not applied, although offered by His power alone. Yes. One must be baptized into Christ, into his Body, into his Church, into his Kingdom by faith. One can no more boast in baptism as they could boast in their faith, or their repentance. Both responses of obedience to God as well. If I pay off your mortgage 100% and say you must sign off on the payment to apply that which I have done for you to the account…your signature doesn't merit or earn your salvation. You've done nothing to deserve or earn that which you are being given. You have done nothing to contribute to my gift. It's sill 100% paid by my power and ability. But you must allow my gracious gift to be applied to your debt, wiping it out, according to the way and for the purpose I said to do it by your signature, by faith in my ability to eliminate your debt. Or don't sign and my offer still stands, but my gift will not be applied to your acct of debt. Baptism is how we call upon God, by faith. It's how we respond to the gospel of Christ. Baptism only saves us because of what is accessed and what is applied when we submit by faith, not our goodness, but Christ blood…that which alone has the power to actually save.

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5 KJV

Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 KJV

Acts 2:38 is how you obey the gospel of Jesus Christ and become saved from your sins

You must be born of water and Spirit. John 3:5, Acts 2:38, Titus 3:5,

1John 5:8.

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 1John 5:8

If you have the water(Jesus name baptism) and you have the Spirit(manifested by speaking in other tounges Acts 2:4) then you have the blood of Jesus. 1John 5:8, John 3:5, Acts 2:38, Titus 3:5

Water baptism in Jesus name is for the remission(pardon, forgiveness) of sins and its how your born of water.

And receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost(evidenced by speaking in tounges) is how your born of the Spirit. Acts 2:4

The bible shows us how lost sinners become saved from their sins by obeying the new testament gospel Acts 2:38

In Acts chapter 2:38 the Jews obeyed this gospel to become saved.

In Acts chapter 8,12-17 the Samarians obeyed this gospel to become saved.

In Acts chapter 10,44-48 the gentiles obeyed this gospel to become saved.

In Acts chapter 19 The Ephesians who Paul later on wrote a letter to, they became Christians by being born of water and Spirit Acts 19 v1-7

Paul the Apostle of Jesus Christ became a Christian by being baptized in the name of the Lord and receiving the Holy Ghost.

Acts 9 v17-18

I have a question I am budist and I also love and believe in God I don't go to church and I have never got baptized I believe that God will save me through hard times and whenever I need help I always ask him questions but I'm scared I won't go to heaven because I'm not Christian and I haven't got baptized I'm 12 and I'm scared that I won't enter heaven but that's not the only reason why I do believe in God is just to get to heaven I believe in him because I feel that when I have no one to talk to I can always talk and pray to him and when the 1st time I ever went to church (I wad 12) they had the bread and holy water or water to drink and I was scared because so many ppl have put there mouths on the cup so I didn't eat the bread or drink the water and I am a good child and I feel like I have the worst case scenario and I won't go to heaven. It's not that my parents didn't want me to get baptized or I don't want to get baptized its just we never get time cause we are so busy or it never really crossed my mind and then when I went to the church to see my nephew get baptized I started to think about it and it got me frighten. My mom also have read me the children's bible and I haven't read the bible I plan on getting one when me and my family move and read it everyday (we don't have a bible). So can someone help me awnser my question? Have a great day and God bless ?

Hebrews 6:1-3 KJVS
[1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, [2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. [3] And this will we do, if God permit.
There are two baptisms. Many have not the second
Luke 3:16-17 KJVS
[16] John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: [17] Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
The chaff is the flesh and the baptism of fire burns the flesh up.
1 Peter 4:1-2,12-13 KJVS
[1] Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; [2] That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. [12] Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: [13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Shortly after acknowledging that I believed jesus existed died for my sins and rose on the third day. The frequent sleep paralysis stoped and one night as I slept I felt like a gentle hand on my head then it was lifted and a few seconds later I felt a tingling around my torso. Could that have been the holy spirit baptizing me?

Do I actually have to go to church school to get baptized?

Achugu Samuel Afor - posted on August 28, 2019 9:33 pm

To me baptism is not necessary for salvation and also not a sin to be baptized. Read Gal 3:15-29, 1st Abraham was not baptize but save, 2nd the promise made to Abraham by God to his desendant (Jesus ) came to reality after the law which only came 430 yrs later. And the cocerpt of Walter baptism came during the law Era. We should also consider the dispensations in which these guspel messages are been teaching with the knowledge in mind that we are not included in the Jewish community. So the guspel of Christ as preach by Paul is to me as a gentile. May God gives us the WISDOM to know Him more. Amen

You’re missing a huge piece of this you continue to say over and over that we must be in Christ in the Bible teaches the only way to be in Christ is to be baptized in Christ.

Johnny Thompson - posted on September 25, 2019 11:26 pm

Yes, it is required. You are not saved until you are baptized.
Roman 6: 3Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be [a]done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been [b]freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, [c]reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Johnny Thompson - posted on September 25, 2019 11:27 pm

Abraham was not under the Blood of Christ. This guy should not be called a minister. You are not IN CHRIST UNTIL BAPTIZED.

1 Peter 3:21-22 – 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
