I disagree with his explanation of "Praying in the Spirit." in Ephesians.

Oh wow, this brother is confused. I think his heart is seeking the truth, but I pray he has a real encounter with the love of God and revelation of His inspired word- rather than being compelled by the doctrines of men which distort and mislead! We know that teachers will be held to a higher standard (James 3:1), so this stuff can't be taken lightly- it's a major issue and matters a lot to God. I feel like something in him is convicted that he's wrong, you can see his countenance change and his argument becomes much more muddy and "stretched" at about the halfway point- plus, at the end, he pipes in with a disclaimer, as if his conscience isn't quite at peace about what he just taught- note, he says, "I believe", because he doubts his "theory". I'm not giving any scripture references to refute his teaching because my point isn't to engage in debate- but the evidence, scripturally, is ample. God, open our eyes and keep us from being deceived and misled! God bless you, whoever reads this.

What is the point of prophecy during these times aside from what we already know from the Bible? Everyone and there cousin has a prophecy…and that prophecy is always vague, useless or simply not necessary because such knowledge may be common sense to anyone paying attention to their surroundings. i.e…a person has a dream about the fall of the US…oookaay, a lot of people can come to that very conclusion without God because every empire falls. I digress.

People that don’t experience prayer language and the power of it can’t understand it. Best way is to ask God to reaveal it to you and not impose your own understanding on this subject.

What this man isn't telling you is Acts 2: when the people in the upper room where first filled with the Holy Spirit they Spoke in Tongues be for any one else was there…So 120 in the Upper room where fill with the Holy Spirit and all of them started speaking in Tongues…the town's people didn't show up until verse 6 …By then the 120 in the Upper room where already filled with the Holy Spirit and Speaking in Tongues…there wasn't anyone there to be speaking in known languages to …that came latter… Acts 10:44-47 a gentile family called the Cornelius house where filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues… Peter was so amazed at this verse Acts 10:45 Peter said they where astonished because the Holy Ghost was poured out on them like it was on them in the upper room for they heard them speaking in "Tongues"… Acts 19:1-6 Paul met a group of Jewish men and asked them if they had received the Holy Ghost since they believed. They answer back to Paul was we didn't even know that there was a Holy Ghost… Paul baptizes them in Jesus name laid his hands on them in chapter 6 then the Holy Ghost comes down on them they get filled with the Holy Ghost and speak in "tongues"..

Not all but many of these folks that teach against the Baptism in the Holy Ghost are calvinist, limited Grace people…men and women that believe you most likely where created by God and predestined to spend eternity in hell with no chance of salvation…
It's almost always peachers of limited Grace, people that teach against the baptism in the Holy Ghost….

Acts 1:4-5 but wait for the promise of the father verse 5. for John truly baptized with water but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 2:39
For the promise is unto you and to your children and into all that are far off for even as many as the Lord shell call…
So the Promise Holy Ghost Baptism…is for all believers…

When I used to hear Heretic Kenneth Copeland, Jessie Duplantis, Benny Hinn and their Word of Faith buddies, something would stir up in my soul and I used to get angry hearing them say get your own 'PRAYER LANGUAGE'.
Those False Teachers who target and Robe poor and Vulnerable people KNOW how to deceive ignorant people.
They say speaking in Tongues edify's them, YEA THEY ARE EDIFYING THEIR BANK BALANCES FROM ZERO TO MULTI MILLIONS AND SOME UPTO BILLIONS OF VULNERABLE BELIEVERS HARD EARNED MONEY. TARGETTING WIDOWS AND LONELY PEOPLE.
Such satanic Word of Faith Heretic false Teachers and Preachers WILL BE JUDGED AND PUNISHED IN PROPER TIME.!! Amen.

Yes, and so is groaning in the Spirit.
Romans 8:26-28 KJVS
[26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. [28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

When your praying in the Spirit, the tongues will flow, whether your in private or public. This is a debate ONLY God can give truth to. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit the day of Pentecost… I was surrounded by 4 women who was praying for me in native tongues and spiritual tongues. It was so powerful, I passed out, still conscious and a little bit of tongues came out… Another lady next to me wanted the same baptism, never spoke in tongues…. she was the last one at the alter… and her tongues came out clear as day. When God is in the midst of it all… The tongues will flow.. What are you going to do if your praying in public with or for someone, and you feel the tongues ready to come out?? Close your mouth??? ?

What a huge responsibility to speak so with your own certanty sir. Unfortunately somehow you let your lack of experience in this specific gift blurr your vision. I hope you have gained some insight through God's grace.

Jesus talking about praying in private is nothing to do with tongues .

THIS TELLS YOU WHO THE UNBELIEVERS THE SIGN IS FOR THEY ARE . –
THE UNBELIEVING RELIGIOUS LEADERS IN JERUSALEM ,THIS SIGN WAS SEEN AT PENTECOST AND WHERE ANY JEWS WERE LISTENING .
THIS IS WHY WHEN ALL THE CHURCH BECAME GENTILE , IT DIED OUT .

How about we focus on the Holy Trinity and not on gifts… because grace is the one gift that most people are not even grateful for.

Gift is to edify the church
Prayer is talking to God
Speaking in tongues is for evangilism

Criss Criss - posted on September 3, 2019 1:53 am

If you don’t understand what you said even to God, how can you said amen to that? If you speak a tongue that you understand, then you can be edify! You, and others, Besides the Bible says in Romans 8:26

26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

So, the Spirit is helping us to pray, we don’t need a special unknown language to pray to God, because God understands all languages, what we need is a deep intercession by the Holy Spirit to help us express our heart better! And the Spirit does that by WORDLESS groans!

God is not a God of confusion!

Tongues is a gift. For the record…its not evidence of the holy spirit..its not something that makes you a super believer, mightier than others. And its not as prevalent amongst so called believers as people try to .ake it sound. Some of the most devilish, psychotic, phony, and confused people i have ever ran into, speak in so called "tongues". I love you all, but please let this tongues business rest. God bless you all

1 Corinthians 14:4
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

What does Paul mean when he says in I Corinthians 14:15 "What then? I will pray with the the spirit and I will also pray with my understanding, I will sing with my spirit, and I will also sing with my understanding. Then in I Corinthians 14:28 But if there is no interpreter, that person is to keep silent in the church and speak to himself and God. It is difficult for a person on the outside to understand the gift of tongues. I Cor 14:2 "For the person who speaks in another tongue is not speaking to people but to God, since no one understands him; he speaks mysteries in the Spirit. The Spirit is praying and bypassing our minds. I pray in tongues and it is a benefit to me, and my spiritual life.
