In "tithing" must that all go to the church or if we support other Christian organizations would that be included (christian charities, desiring God, etc)?

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

I dont give to church, I give to whatever/whoever God puts on my heart that month. IMPORTANT is that i give.

Is the church the building or the people? Of coarse if you are a NT follower it is our responsibility what we do with our giving, or pass it on to people in a building. I will stand before God for what I give of His, not the building.

So if giving money to God wasn't important, when Christians assemble together to worship God, why did Jesus stand by the offering plate in the temple? He noticed how the widow gave when she had nothing. And Anninies and Sophiar died because they lied to Holy Spirit about what they gave.

Yes i see how giving is a gift from God as he says "it is better to give than to receive" so he is blessing is us with being able to give as it is better for us and shows his grace and love through us giving

A lot of people don't like to tithe because they think it's not necessary how's the power bill going to be paid how is the taxes going to be paid how is the building itself going to keep repairs I give more than I have to because I'm given to God and whatever goes from there on is on someone else I paid the light bill I pay the taxes and I also take out of my pocket whatever I bring in the church gets left at church so tithing is a way that you prove yourself to God are you giving to God to get and return the tithing already belongs to God so give what is his and he definitely will get back to you don't expect nothing if you don't give nothing give to God do not get to the church given the God is still given to the church but you're giving it for God to make a choice to better his kingdom with

Tithing is the price YOU pay for Biblical IGNORANCE. READ YOUR BIBLE PEOPLE. Tithing was FOOD not MONEY. Old Testament not New Testament.

John Piper, You Err, and you Lie,…..
You should not use OT verses regarding the obligation to support the church,
Because in the New Testament, There is NO offerings required, nor obligation
to pay the pastors, especially to the pastors that teach evil doctrine…

Listen to what you said in Philippians 4:18….''I have received FULL PAYMENT….''

Whereas Philippians 4:18 (KJV) says : ''But I have all, and abound: I am full,
having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour
of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.''

Nothing was mentioned of ''FULL PAYMENT''

The Things that Paul received from the Philippians are Neither Payment nor
Offerings, But simply Voluntary Help…..

LISTEN TO THIS :

Philippians 4:15-17 (KJV)
15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed
from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving,
but ye only.

16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
(fruit that may abound to your account means : The fruit of the Spirit which is Love
and Kindness)

Dear John, you should spend more time teaching the fellows who are managing the money hiw to use them the right way. Too much talk about money giving to the congregation that are mostly gullible and lack common sense. Do not give the guilty trip by keep on emphasizing about money. How come there us no mention of Jesus having offertory during His 3 year ministry?

cortez bailey - posted on July 18, 2019 12:56 pm

Come on piper, I really love your ministry brother…………..It is no commanded or required to tithe…………………….Malachi is not applied under the New Covenant…………………….You know that the law is not of Faith. Jesus has commanded that those who preach the gospel can live from the gospel they preach, no issue on that. Let each one give as he purposes in his heart, so as the heart of the individual is given over to God will be to the degree and or amount they give. Tithing according to Malachi is a an act of falling from grace…………..you know that as well.
