Sen. Jim DeMint on Insuring All Americans With Health Care
Over the next eight weeks, Sens. David Vitter (R-La.), Richard Burr (R-N.C.), Mel Martinez (R-Fla.), Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.), Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), John Thune (R-S.D.), and Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) will be spreading the conservative message on health care. Through coordinated media education and speeches on the floor of the United States Senate, these senators will define the stark contrast between liberal government-controlled health care and the conservative vision that would allow Americans to own and control the health care plans for their families.
On April 3, 2008, at The Heritage Foundation, three of these senators outlined their health care reform plans and addressed why it is vital to stop a big government takeover of health care. Video of the entire event is available at:

I don't care where you are politically, you gotta admit they're constantly moving the spectrum to the right. Obama basically passed the 90's GOP plan (Written & funded by Heritage), now the GOP hates it. Obama doesn't interfere with Bush's withdrawal from Iraq, GOP hates it.
The spectrum is constantly shifting to the right, & flip-flopping has become GOP politicians religion. I'm not saying the Dems have a spine & principles or anything, I'm saying EVERYTHING moved to the right in DC.
@givethemahand Ask how all the other countries in Europe who have universal healthcare are doing. Or go ask Canada how they're doing. See how they're handling health care.
Rofl. The contradiction in this is freakin' hilarious.
Every American insured? And what sort of plan do you have to keep costs low? Senator, how much did your insurance rates go up for 2010? Mine increased 30% and my husbands 25%. You say your plan is to offer a 5k tax credit /voucher for us to buy health insurance. Health ins. in NYC is about $750 pp mo $750 x12 = $9000.And if there is no competition to the giant insurance companies how can I be assured the cost won't go higher? $5000 won't cut it, Senator. How bout we trade plans? NO? Figures
you had 8 years under Reagan and 12 years under two bushes and did nothing.
