  9. How to identify False Prophets.

    Warning ⚠️ FALSE PROPHETS!

    The Bible warns us over and over again about false prophets. But how can we identify them?

    (JESUS SPEAKING) Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
    14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, WHICH LEADETH UNTO LIFE, and FEW there be that find it.?
    15 BEWARE of FALSE PROPHETS, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves (deceitful).
    16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
    17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit (true doctrine); but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit (false doctrine).
    18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit (false teaching), neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
    19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
    20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

    21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord (Jesus), Lord (Jesus), shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the “will” of my (Jesus’) Father which is in heaven.

    “The will of the Father”, Jesus is our example.
    John 15:10 IF ye keep MY (Ten) commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I (Jesus) have kept my Father's (Ten) commandments, and abide in his love.

     Many will say to me in that day, Lord (Jesus), Lord (Jesus) have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many WONDERFUL works?
    23 And then will I profess unto them, I EVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that WORK INIQUITY (break the law, this is N.T)

    Why will our loving Saviour say to these believers in Jesus, I NEVER KNEW YOU, because you live a life of breaking God’s law.

    Prophesy:
    (O.T.) Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony (Ten Commandments) IF they SPEAK not according to this word (Ten Commandments), it is because there is no light (truth) in them.

    This is how you know the difference between a false prophet (Pastor and teacher), because if they are not teaching the Ten Commandment’s of the Lord (Jesus) Thy God, they are false teachers.

    ⚖️ Weigh Truth!

    Read Exodus 20:1-20, Deut. 5 (Ten Commandments), & Deuteronomy 30, the GOSPEL of Jesus in the Old Testament, same gospel Jesus spoke in the N.T John 14:12.

    Sin is breaking God’s law, and repentance is returning back to the VOICE OF God, law of the Lord (Jesus) thy God and obeying his voice (Deut 30:16), turn from breaking his law.

    In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his (Ten) commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord (Jesus) thy God shall bless thee in the land whither (wherever) thou goest to possess it. (Statutes and judgments are the TC’S).

    (N.T.) 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth SIN transgresseth (breaks) also the law: for SIN is the transgression (breaking) of the law, (TC’s, N.T.)

    The New Testament is a witness to the Old Testament.

    Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
    10 Declaring the end (N.T.) from the beginning (O.T.), and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying,
    My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

    (N.T.) PETER the apostle to the Jews:
    1 Peter 4:11 (If) any man SPEAK, let him SPEAK as the "oracles of God": (Ten Commandments) (If) any man minister let him do it as of the ability which God gifts: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to him be praised and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

    THE SAME MESSAGE OF THE PROPHET ISAIAH in 8:20.

    (N.T.) PAUL the apostle to the Gentiles:
    1 Corinthian's 14:37 (If) any man think himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write to you for the (Ten) commandments of the Lord. But (if) any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

    SAME MESSAGE AS ISAIAH AND PETER.

    Paul also teaches the Gentiles:
    Hebrew 5:12 For when for the time you are to be teachers, you have made that one teach you again which be the first FIRST PRINCIPLES of the ORACLE OF GOD (Ten Commandments): become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meet. For everyone that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness (Ten Commandments Deut. 6:25) for he is a babe.

    Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

    Which means, you have come to God’s law, the Ten Commandments, read them, they will bring you to the knowledge of Sin and you will realize your a sinner.
    They are God’s standard of right and wrong.
    The penalty is death for breaking them and that is why you need a Saviour.

    Hebrews 5:12,13

    1. Do you know the FIRST principles of God, as a follower of Christ?
    2. Do you know what the “Oracles of God” are as a follower of Christ?

    The Oracles of God are the Ten Commandments, they are synonymous (the same as). This is N.T.
    3. Are you skilled in the word “righteousness” or ARE YOU A BABE.

    Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 Seek Ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness (TC’s)

    Acts 7:37 (This is the testimony Steven was stone to death for, he was preaching about the Oracle of God (read entire chapter).

    37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; HIM (Jesus) YE SHALL HEAR.
    38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness (Jesus) with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the LIVELY ORACLES to give unto us (Israel) (1 Cor 10:4)
    39 To whom our fathers would not OBEY, but thrust him from them (the TC), and in their hearts turned back” again into Egypt (World),

    If they do not preach or teach the FIRST PRINCIPLES the Oracles of God (all 10), the testimonies of Jesus Christ, they are false prophets, according to scripture.

    Now we can look back to Isaiah 8:20 in the O.T. and realize it is a witness to the N.T.

    We can read N.T. scriptures and realize that the apostles Peter and Paul are witnesses to the same gospel message, repent and return back to God, and his law, the Ten Commandments, not the Levitical Priesthood also called the law by Paul (Hebrews 7:11), which the church commingles and created false doctrine or the law of circumcision.

    Carrot: Law and Covenant are synonymous and there were (3) in the O.T.

    Jesus:
    John 14:15 If you love me keep my (Ten) commandments. (NT)

    (John) 1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him (Jesus) if we keep his (Ten) commandments.
    4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a LIAR, and the truth is not in him.
    5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the LOVE of God PERFECTED: hereby know we that we are in him.

    This is how you test the spirit of false prophets and teachers.
    This disqualifies most recognized religions of the world, along with preachers and teachers.

  29. Even Judas could have been saved if he had not given up. Forgiveness was for him too. Don't give up. The only ones who lose are those who quit. Both he and Peter messed up that day. Peter made it into the kingdom though because he did not give up.
    (And I have to remind myself of this too because I sometimes feel like giving up.)

  34. This sermon has blessed me, I’m in the beginning stage of divorce and even though I pray against it, for Gods will to be done.. I definitely need a reminder of Gods strength and how he covers us through the pain & sorrow. I may not know the outcome, but I’m trusting Gods process! Thank you and God bless ❤️
