Even if he did get it wrong it wouldn’t affect my faith.
Critic attack the Bible’s inerrency all the time.
But Christians don’t have to argue on those terms.
The Bible wasn’t claimed to be infallible until the scientific revolution where we had to start proving everything.
Who cares if Luke got this wrong?
He was focused on telling the story of Christ and his Church
It's also quite possible that more than one person had that name over that period of time. Even if they lived in the same town. We see that quite often right now today. That's one reason why we go buy more than one name: first, middle, last.
Who cares what the archeological discovery say. It only matters that you Christians believe in the bs that's in the Bible.

If that reference was in any other book than The Bible, historians wouldn't doubt it. They would rejoice in the wonderful fount of knowledge The Bible is. It is 100% biased and unscientific to doubt The Bible to such a degree. But I don't expect it to stop until Christ comes back.

Critics forget that people used to name their children after their fathers and tended to stay in one region, especially if they were royalty.

Would love to know how popular some of these names were at the time. Just love that they thought there could only be one person with that name in that place. But especially love when archaeology again proves the Bible right again.
How about more than one person with the same name
the whole bible will be questioned and evidence for everything will be found, apparently.

Might want to be careful, some people nowadays will stop at that first statement and take it as fact, even in a short, especially coming from a prominent apologist like yourself. A better way imo is to pose it as a question

Remember, it's inspired scripture. If it was wrong, it wouldn't be LUKE who got it wrong, but God Almighty.
