The Student Experience at Summit

Every day students wake up and enjoy breakfast together before heading off to the classroom for morning lectures.
The thought of the day is lead by a summer staff member, the students stand and say the pledge of allegiance, and the morning speaker begins taking students through a topic such as “The Case for Life” or “The Christian Worldview”.
After three lectures and two breaks, students are ready for lunch. During lunch on some days, speakers will invite the students to join them for an Open Forum, where students can unpack the morning lectures and ask any questions they may have.
One more lecture follows lunch and then it’s off to sports time.
Sports time is a time for students to get outside, enjoy fresh air and some downtime. Some students use this time to play volleyball while others curl up under a shady tree to read a book or journal.
The students gather for dinner around 5:00pm before heading back to the classroom for worship and the final lecture of the day.
Following the last lecture of the day, students meet with their small groups and end the day with social time before heading back to their rooms for lights out.
