Problem # 5. The Victim Mentality
Nothing holds somebody back more than seeing himself as a victim. Why? Because a victim is not accountable for his situation. Whatever is someone else’s fault. And the victim sees long shot of enhancing his life. How can he get ahead if somebody is holding him back? All this makes the victim dissatisfied, upset and frustrated.
Lots of black churches preach this “victimology,” numerous black parents pass it on to their kids, urban schools teach it to their trainees and the black media strengthen it. The NAACP and other black grievance groups fundraise on it.
Issue # 4. Absence of Diversity
Blacks consistently require an “sincere dialogue or debate about race.” How can there ever be a truthful dialogue about race in between whites and blacks when there is essentially no truthful discussion between blacks and blacks?
