Today we’re joined by Leanne Jamieson, executive director at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, to talk about what really goes on at pregnancy centers. In the aftermath of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, pregnancy centers across the country have found themselves targets of vandalism and vitriol, most notably from Elizabeth Warren, who deemed them “dangerous.” Leanne sets the record straight, explaining that these are centers where women come to be loved, served, and given actual choices that Planned Parenthood would never present. We go through exactly what happens when a woman enters Prestonwood Pregnancy Center and how the center serves both long-term and holistically. Leanne shares some stories of how God is working in these centers, as well as what PPC was able to do with all of our listeners’ generous donations after the “Elizabeth Warren Exposes Very Scary Pregnancy Center” parody video last year.

What Really Happens at Pregnancy Centers? | Guest: Leanne Jamieson | Ep 764
source
My great gramma in the roaring 1920s got pregnant and wanted a back alley abortion. This boy from her family's church was over the moon for her. She FINALLY accepted his invite for a date. A month later they were in love. She told him she was pregnant but was going to "take care of it". Immediately he blackmailed her into marrying him. Either marry me and let me raise the child or I'll ruin you and your family. She could not believe he actually wanted to raise someone else's baby. Well she accepted the marriage proposal and they were happily married till he died. They also had a half dozen more kids.
I told that story to a friend of mine contemplating abortion. I omitted names and traced that baby's lineage through his kids, and their kids and finally went through my dad and his 2 boys and adopting my sister and then said and in 1983 he had his 3rd son when i was born.
She was confused until i told her the baby that was supposed to be aborted was my grandpa and if his mother would've been able to go to get an abortion i never would've been born, we would never have been friends. Her jaw dropped. And i said i hope she didn't get the abortion cuz it'd kinda be like her killing me and my grandfather, and his kids and grandkids. 12 months later i was at her house holding her new son and she started crying, took a picture and mouthed "thank you" to me.
Not gonna lie. It felt good holding that baby.
Still sunburned 😆 sorry allie. Hope you're OK
This episode made me so emotional. What a blessing to hear about the work of God in these women life. Thank you Allie for bringing this amazing human being to your show.
wow. the hate on this channel is astonishing. the fearful white, self entitled christian individuals in the US is on an other level. it's incredible. making those dollars with that unbeatable mentall strength, stubborn and godly energy put in on the hateful and juicy bullying is just beyond. where's the awards for God's sake? Oh yes, the high suicide rate of humans that don't want to only wear pink and blue in life and all the women who wants the ownership to decide what happens to her body or not.
"what do we want? genocide! what do we want? genocide! do we care about human rights? nooo. will we ever? noooo, for God's sake… i don't know what human rights are so why should i bother? i need to focus so that i can pray away my daughters wishes to not wear dresses anymore."
what happened to Jesus words? "There is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus’?" What happened to that??
jesus fuck. you're truly a terrifing pack of people.
My local representative sent around an email with information after Dodd passed. The link to the NYC website which described alternative centers as fake.
24 thousand, wow
Such an amazing interview ❤ Praying for Prestonwood Pregnancy Center and all of the amazing pregnancy centers who love and serve women, babies, and families!

We love to donate $ , diapers and baby formula to our local Pregnancy Center. They are such wonderful, loving people. I’m proud of the work they do.
Love what these pregnancy centers do! So inspiring and definitely makes me want to do more. Thank you to all involved in this ministry. God bless.
Planned Parenthood -Planned Infanticide
Allie please do a piece on Texas House Bill 2889! Thanks in advance!
Grace womens in Miami has been such a huge blessing, when I went to donate clothing items my son outgrew they gladly showed me around it brought me to tears
One of my favorite episodes, Allie! Boy you are still pink, I’m so sorry! I used to volunteer at a PRC and they offered so much! They even offered post abortive counseling. They would offer an ultrasound and moms could quickly see that the baby looked far more developed than what the business next door was telling them. The supplies that they gave women seemed to multiply like fish and bread. It was amazing what they could do with a buck.
Wow what an incredible episode! God is good!
There were so many tears, both happy and sad, during this episode.
Forcing rape and incest victims, especially children victims to carry the embryo to term is sadistic and forces the victims to live with the trauma for life. Foceing women with non viable fetus is life threatening. Republican Rep David Eastman said the quiet part out loud, saying children dying from child abuse has a silver lining, momentary of course. Finally christian cultist are forcing everyone to obey their ideology and agenda. Just say no to forced birthers.
A simple suggestion…add your local pregnancy center to your Amazon smile account. I was able to add mine and feel great knowing it's a direct way to support my local center regularly!! GOD BLESS THE VULNERABLE MOTHERS AND BABIES – what a beautiful episode. 🥲
I especially loved this episode! 💙 What an encouraging conversation in light of so much darkness surrounding society these days. God Bless you both and the work you are doing.
Wow glory to God!
Allie your hair looks so good tied back into a Ponytail with a hair elastic ❤
I had an unplanned pregnancy last year and Prestonwood Pregnancy Center has been such a blessing in my life. I don’t know what I would have done without their services, from providing my baby’s first sonogram and proof of pregnancy so i could get insurance, to providing me with clothes and a crib mattress for my little girl that I honestly couldn’t have afforded without them. God is good.
I LOVED this interview and testimony. I listened to it on spotify but jumped on here just to click the "like" button. If there was a "love" button I would have clicked it. I cried too.
I have what might be considered a strange question-what happens when a woman turns up and she isn't pregnant?
When I went to the hospital for the follow-up pregnancy test they asked if I wanted to see the image of the baby (at 11 weeks) and I was confused why they would ask me that. Of course I want to see the baby that's in my body! It didn't occur to me at the time, why they were doing that. In case I wanted to get rid of it.
I remember with a fearful tone the nurse told me I "only have" [however long it was at the time] to get an abortion. As if I was running out of time to handle this tragedy.
I also thought that was strange. I was pro-choice at that time. So didn't have qualms with abortion in general. But researching medical articles about why it's dangerous to reproductive health made a lot of sense from a scientific standpoint. It's an unnatural procedure. Even life-saving surgeries have risk. I didn't like that the abortion sites always said "low risk" or "no risk" even.
It was more for curiosity than anything. I did consider the possibility of IF I were to abort. But the second and third times I looked at my baby- already a distinguishable head, you could tell where arms and legs were to form by the shape. I cried because I HATED my situation, the father, I was in poverty, couldn't find a job …but I loved my baby. Not all feel this until after delivery I know ..and that's a shame…and some are too sociopathic/narcissistic etc to ever feel that. But anyway..
I am so grateful to God that I was given the courage to keep my baby. I even had family telling me I should get an abortion and shaming me for choosing to keep it when I was so poor.
Now my husband (father of child) and I have been married for over a decade and are blessed with our child who is about the same age. ❤ It took work, anything worth having does. In honesty our marriage was on the edge of failure until about 5 years ago, we were about to give up but we're reading the Bible and had accepted Christ's salvation. We decided to serve one another, to serve our family. 🐑🙏🌻✨🩷
I hope anyone considering abortion doesn't fall for the deceptions so frequent in society today. If you're pregnant, you're a parent, you should be parenting your child even if they are not born yet. Strive to be better than your parents. To be strong, to be caring and loving and to show your child you can overcome struggles when it's about more than yourself.
I got a degree in psychology and worked in that field for a few years until having children and becoming a sahm. I cannot co-sign that field these days. It’s gone mad and gone against my beliefs. I’ve been thinking about working at a pregnancy center when I do go back into the workforce because of Allie’s podcast. This episode has confirmed that.
One of the best things I've ever done in my life is to volunteer as a client advocate at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center ❤ It's a love-centered pregnancy center. Loving, caring, and listening to the clients is what they do as well as go over their options with truth and love.
🗳 Pro-choice Republican here (yes, we exist) and this was my take after the recent failed Republican sweep at the 2022 midterm election following the overturning of Roe v. Wade:
🚼 The Republican party underestimated how much voters cared about abortion rights after the overturning Roe v. Wade-which was only a few months ago and still fresh on everybody's minds.
⚖ Whatever you think about abortion, I feel that the Right should have been realistic about its present and its future and used their new upper hand to end the abortion debate once and for all.
☝ If the Republican party had been more farsighted, they should have bitten the bullet and used their new position to cut a deal with the Left to NATIONALLY RESTORE abortion rights, BUT under strict conditions, like this:
-Women ONLY have a NEGATIVE right to an elective abortion ie. if a woman wants an abortion, she'll have to pay for it herself (or whatever other PRIVATE means-though I am not precluding an individual state from making it a positive right funded by its taxpayers).
-Elective (ie. non-medical) abortions are ONLY allowed in the first twelve-to-fourteen weeks MAXIMUM.
-A MINIMUM number of crisis pregnancy centers, per state, to deter abortion seekers. (Though I am not sure if there should be an equal number by state or an equitable number determined by a state's respective population).
-FEDERAL funding and protection of ALL crisis pregnancy centers throughout the country.
🐘 After throwing the Left this bone, the Right can now do the following:
1. Criticize the Left as monsters for wanting to expand abortion rights beyond the first trimester while the Right keeps its moral stance.
2. As Abraham Lincoln said, 'you can't fool all of the people all of the time.'
Now that the abortion question has been definitively answered, the Democratic Party can't use it as a shield to cover up their mishandling of the economy and the border, and of the rampant violent crime and homelessness in the cities they control.
P.S. 👐 For the record, I do NOT blame the Right for their overturning of Roe v. Wade.
They won that battle fair and square.
📜 Not only am I a 'safe, legal, and rare' pro-choice moderate who is just as disgusted by the gross sight of some abortion activism like you are, but I also acknowledge that the Left lazily defended Roe, seemingly forever, wasting forty-nine years to pass national legislation, or even a whole amendment, securing abortion rights across the country but politically feared doing so.
Now they must suffer the consequences…
