Today, April 19, 2023, marks exactly 30 years given that the Branch Davidian substance appeared in a massive fireball, ending the 51-day standoff. In the end, four federal representatives were killed, 20 injured, and around 75 Branch Davidians, including 25 children, were dead. A new Netflix documentary, “Waco: American Apocalypse,” gives a fair and thorough informing of the occasion. Some of the video Netflix gave “Glenn TV” consists of chilling interviews with a few of the Branch Davidian cult survivors, their member of the family, and FBI agents who battled with the question: Did federal police do everything they could to conserve as many lives as possible, or did a few of their strategies assist result in the dreadful massacre? Glenn argues that Waco is among the most significant examples of what a reckless and weaponized government can. You would believe we would have learned some lessons in the after-effects and controlled company powers, but the federal bureaucracy has only broadened EXPONENTIALLY to now target serene Catholics and pro-life Christians. Previous FBI representative and whistleblower Steve Friend informs Glenn federal law enforcement officials are rewarded for actions that don’t just achieve the mission, however produce a big splash, as we saw with Waco and January 6 protesters. Glenn asks: Can the FBI be reformed? “I don’t think it can,” says Steve. “It’s beyond any sort of redemption.” Glenn also reveals that while constitutional abuses take place under the ATF and FBI, there are HUNDREDS of under-the-radar agencies like the Department of Energy, OSHA, and the Department of Agriculture weaponizing their power against U.S. people every day.
