Walmart and Amazon support the Internet Sales Tax. I wonder why?
Just got a letter from Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX) who I was shocked to learn is supporting this monstrosity. West Texas, we are being sold down the river by our congressional rep!
Your exactly right JOn Jones, and the abuse in defense spending is ungodly. "138 million for an F22 fighter jet each" (wiki). If the whole plane was a computer it would not be worth that amount. "MQ-9 Reaper Drone $120.8 million each," (Huffington Post) are you kidding me that amount for an RV toy, our national fortune is goin out the window on so called defense. Please when will this cold war insanity in defense spending stop. And they are worried about food stamps.
This or that…me versus you. you versus them. You wont be making any money off of me anytime soon.
Your logic is hilarious. Utterly hilarious. The Internet is not a job creator. It actually reduces the necessity of jobs. The bankers are squeezing us dry and into a stone age economy to start another war. After all, most federal taxes go into paying off the interest on treasury bonds. See the Great Depression and then WWII.
The only reason most people do not like taxes is because the FUCKING bankers and corporations steal all of the revenue. In this country, taxes are nothing but a siphon from the middle classes to misspend money on overpriced private sector scams to line the pockets of the rich…and of course..guess who isn't taxed. but of course, we will never this side of the argument from right wing organizations that blame food stamps (managed by JP Morgan) on the problem.
Foreign businesses do not have to deal with these taxes, so it will, yet again, drive more U.S. profit into the hands of foreign businesses. The guys who wrote this bill are traitors to their country, and their pockets are being lined by international corporations (Walmart, Amazon). Thanks a pad load, chet.
REMEMBER WHEN THE GOVERNEMENT WAS TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO CHARGE POSTAGE ON EMAILS ??? What a joke !!!
FUCk INTERNET TAX !!
the true issue would be in the spirit of competition where you may have something for $100 and the internet guys may have bought some lot liquidation for less and sell the same item for $70 dollars , tax or no tax people will buy online. Tax has nothing to do with fair advantage for local consumers. Just some government bull shit !! If it is not like the taxes would go back into the business man pocket anyway ! It goes into uncle sam's pocket who is already deep enough into ours as it is !!
the internet tax should not be. It is unjust to the consumer and to businesses. Just another imposition by the the government on the public. Since when has the government actually done something in true interest of the consumer or business (small business especially) ?? If the price for items where equal approx but just difference of tax, many people would choose to buy in store where they can get direct service and have tangible goods in hand. Few would buy online over a 8 -10% difference !
I understand you're trying to appeal to a younger demographic with the 10 things format but the heavy metal music is just distracting and annoying. Anyone you checks out heritage foundation videos isn't the kind of person that needs to be bought over with loud music
Nice editing!
I'm starting to believe that the U.S. government is PRAYING that we get into a great depression. This new tax will torpedo the economy by destroying small businesses and would leave big businesses to have to employ the now out of businesses former small business owners whose business this tax destroyed. The big businesses would not have the capacity to hire all these out of businesses former business owners and much less have the capacity to pick up hiring in this sluggish economy.
I have not heard or read where the Heritage Foundation states
the obvious fact that the tax would be unconstitutional:
US Constitution Article 1, Sec 9, Para 5.
While I am against this law, if it passes, I predict that software will be developed to help businesses work out all of these requirements. Again, I am against this law.
Amazon being in favor of this law? Why? Because I believe I read that Amazon already has a program – for sale – to track these taxes. Always comes down to money.
I used to sell on ebay and since I had a business license I had to collect sales tax from people who live in Ohio because that's where I live. It wasn't that bad because I had a list of counties and their tax rate. I can't imagine having to look up the sales tax for every sale regardless of what state the customer lives in. This will suck for small businesses.
I buy books from them all the time and I've never been charged tax.
Amazon already collects sales taxes. Thats why i stopped buying from them.
You know a Law is bad when even Democrats complain about taxing
