The creature in Genesis 3 is in a state of rebellion against God. And when humans join with the creature, they are dragged back into disorder, chaos, and death.

By listening to the story Adam and Eve was This God slaves and when the serpent told them the truth the one who called himself God got mad because he whole plan was messed up and he vanished then out of the garden I been doing my research the serpent was WISDOM really we didn't SIN we found the Truth

  6. I like the animation but i grew up in church. Went to private school. Some of these things i never remember the bible stating…..makes me uneasy that maybe this is not actual chridtianity you guys are teaching here. What bible are you guys getting some of this from? NiV? King James?

  7. Jesus warned us to be alert and vigilant against the devil. he keeps firing these arrows at us. so we need the armour to protect us. this translates to knowing the entirety of our Bible because all these pieces of armour must be used together to combat the enemy.

Because Eve was a living soul composed of dust from the earth and Gods breath or the Holy Spirit her human flesh contains the HS giving her a human or man’s spirit so her nature was earthy, curious and a leader. So the Satan was Eve’s curious yet disobedient thoughts which were in opposition to Gods commandment. ( the carnal mind is enmity to God) This is like if you tell a child do not touch that hot campfire it will burn you so the child will automatically reach out questioning what will fire do and what does burn mean??? Until they experience it themselves they will not know what this fire is and what getting burned means. God knew their response already.
    It was not until the fall then God cursed Satan as a punishment to have a form of a serpent.
    God was not finished with man because man must be in Gods image so through the atonement of Yeshua Messiah’s death and through His resurrection from death with Gods timing man will be completed in Gods image.

    1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

  16. hmm, there once was a god. He made two amoral human beings and never wnated them to have morality. He then left them alone in a garden where he either let the snake in intentionallly, or couldn't keep it out.

    The woman listened to the snake who told her the truth, and the woman got morality for humans. This god was upset and threw a temper tantrum, kicking the man and woman out of the garden, and cursing everyone who ever lived there after.

    This god tried to fix its failure repeatedly, with a flood, laws, etc. Then it decided it needed a human blood sacrifice by torture of itself/its son to make it self happy again.

    this is an idiotic cult.

  27. "God creates a beautiful ordered reality out of darkness…" yet you could not explain how the serpent was "the first portrait of evil." Was it not a creation of God?

    If what God creates was ordered and beautiful, how did the serpent, a creation of God, become evil?

    When you read the biblical account we learn a couple of things:
    1. The serpent is NOT described as evil but rather as shrewd (opp. of naive)
    2. The nakedness of Adam and Eve can be interpreted as naivete (opp. of shrewd)
    3. God lied about the consequence of eating from the tree. They did not die on that day and no, death did not enter into the world. From verse 22-23 we get that God feared that Man would gain immortality now that he's shrewd (knows good from evil); so, Man was always mortal.
    3. The serpent was the one that actually told the truth about the consequence of eating from the tree. Their eyes were opened i.e., they were no longer naive but shrewd.

  28. That’s the cycle of most religions, self control. People try and break free from their human nature but keep succumbing to temptation and doing wrong, leading us to try again. God is a concept which not only embodies how a temptation free society should look like but the concepts holds us to account and therefore is useful in societal cohesion. When we don’t care about society or our own behaviour, when we’ve lost respect for each other and ourselves, God inevitably starts to marginalise.

  32. I always go to look at the comments. Because I love all these biblical scholars that show up here with years and years and years of ancient Hebrew, Arame, and biblical Greek. All telling you that they know the real answer. So Dr. Tim Mackey has more knowledge and understanding Than all of us reading or making comments. So as I follow the Holy Spirit. I think these guys are doing the right thing.

  36. If you Reread Genesis 3 carefully, it doesn't say the Serpent is "evil", or "rebellious". It says "clever" and "cursed". And it doesn't to have made a difference to very many Christians on thinking they've obtained the "Knowledge" to discern Good from Evil.
