One of the most famous numbers in the Bible is 144,000. With it comes difficulty; is it literal or figurative? It is crucial we understand this rightly, for it will allow us to answer the pivotal question at the end of chapter six: “Who can stand?”

  5. I have yet to hear one of his sermons without noisy kids in the audience. Why do they allow this? It's so distracting. How I wish they'd stop this and allow the man to speak without this happening!

  9. you're sealed once you confess. the mark of the beast proves who you are by not allowing believers to buy sell work or trade and casues your deaths so that you avoid wrath as the two witnesses torture the world and true believers exit out then return for the 1k year reign after Yushas' second coming{1st resurrection}.
    and there's no such thingas a "pre-trib" rapture. so get used to it.

    4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

    5And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

  15. Nobody “taught” flat earth. They were going by what scripture says is the “firmament”. The Jews drew pretty pictures and maps from that verse in Genesis and cumulative gatherings of texts such as the Book of Enoch.

That is a bunch of idolators promoting stupidity, just like they promote Xmas and the whore Ashtoreth with their Easter bunnies and every other pagan symbol they can find to try and pack into their hodge podged smorgasboard of idolatry trying to mask itself under the label "christianity".

    Please don't give them credit by calling them christian, and don't sully Christ's name by attaching their whoredoms to Him.

  21. Symbolic? Yet there are real tribulations? Can you parse out what we're supposed to take literally and not, please? Are we supposed to look for little dots in the text that make it plain what's a symbol and a literal thing? Is there a secret Fruit Loops decoder ring somewhere? That mentality to Scripture leads to a very slippery slope. Let the whole book answer for itself, and when you connect the dots between Old and New Testament (the WHOLE Gospel) you can clearly see that there is a remnant preserved to finish out the promises of that covenant made with Abraham. God didn't abandon the Jews, he set them aside as a wayfaring child, grafting in the Gentile branch until in the fullness of time they will in jealousy (Rom 11:11) finally be restored — not all of them ie, every last single person who claims to be a Jew, but those He has chosen.

    This is a revealing of things, not symbols!!!!

    "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw."
    (Rev 1:1-2)

    "things which must shortly come to pass" is NOT symbolic, they WILL come to pass. John bare record "of all things that he SAW", not symbols, not metaphors he wrote to try and make it make sense later, THESE ARE THE THINGS HE SAW.

    Just because you don't understand WHY those tribes are listed as they are, does not make it an "irregularity" — it means you don't understand it, and that's ok, but it's not really ok to apply your label of "literal" or "symbolic" willy nilly as you see fit. That seems exceptionally problematic.

    Ezekiel demonstrates, Joel demonstrates, plenty of other places demonstrate that there is a finite, a "very small remnant" of JEWS, ethnic ISRAELITES (perhaps only truly ethnic Israelites of that land, that isn't clear I don't think) that will return to their God, and be reconciled to Him over the course of the Millenial reign of Christ their King, Christ whom they will DECLARE as their King openly, as they make sacrifices of reconciliation to Him during that reign.

    It seems that there is some elevation here of Gentiles that is not warranted in scripture. You label Gentilism as "the church" it seems, which seems incorrect. The Church is all of God's people, starting with Adam, through saved Israel (this is NOT all Jews – they were His chosen people as a nation, but His elect were drawn from within them) and the Gentile branch. The Gentile branch is GRAFTED IN, not its own tree, its own thing, and should not be elevated to a more important status.

    The 144,000 are 144,000 literal people. Just like there are literally four and twenty elders, and there IS LITERALLY one Lamb which is worthy to open the seals, and there are LITERALLY seven seals. We cannot play fast and loose with these numbers here are literal, these numbers over there are figurative, these are symbolic to mean something the words don't say, etc., just to try and make the mysteries make sense. Don't think great thoughts, start and end with the words.

    I believe you err on your notion of what Romans 11 is saying to come to your conclusion that this is somehow a theoretical symbol that no one but you understands. Romans 11 points (as it is written) right to Isaiah 59:20 "And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD" — "them that turn from transgression in Jacob" is the key — not all Jews are being spoken of in the absolute whole, but in the relative sense. No Esau will ever turn from iniquity, only Jacobs will. ALL of them will be saved. Just as we see in 2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" does NOT mean all individuals of mankind will be saved, it means His patience will last until the very last sheep of His has been called into the fold, and then no more, so that ALL of HIS sheep will be saved.
