He dares to say massive privacy invasion…. ever heard of the PATRIOT Act?
Why should the hispanic paracits be any different that other peoples of the world that want to be citizens. Why should they get a shortcut and be able to get in line ahead of those who have waited so long. The difference is because they are just across the boarder and can sneak in illegally. Is that fair? I don't think so. I have nothing against immigration.. as long as it's legal, and crossing the boarder without permission is not legal. Being here is a privlege, not a right
The right to be in a country is based on the country's sovernety. The right to be in the USA comes two ways. Either you're born a US Citizen to US Citizens, or you are naturalized legally. Crossing the boarder because you think you deserve what the other guy has is not a right. No more would it be a right for me to steal a BMW or Cadillac because I WANT one, not because I've EARNED one. The paracites just don't want to follow the rules of present.
highonhayak,
The law isn't changed, and like it or not, these illegals broke the law to be here and they seem to think that they have the right to cross the border into this country just because they want something better. Living in the US and being a US citizen is a right to those of us who were born here, not to those who think that they deserve it legally or not. The can go back to Mexico and clean up their own corrupt country.
And remember that these people are here illegally and have no right to be here, and they are not entitle to anything at the expense of legal citizens. So if you are here illegally, please get back to your won country. You have no entitlement to be here, regardless of how bad things are in your own country or how desparately you want what the USA has. You do have the right to go back to your country and overthrow your corrupt government, police force, and military.
I was never an imigrant . I was born here and so were my parents thier parents and so and before that my forfathers came here the leagally.
I wrote a song about illegal immigration. The flag of California features a bear which was the symbol of resistance to Mexican rule. The song accuses the bear of going into hibernation, etc… You can find the song at woundedego (dot com) – it is called "Oh California" Please check it out. Thanks. Bill Ross aka Wounded Ego
I agree, immigration is a net positive for America and should be encourage, but legal migration is much better for everyone involved including the immigrants. We need solutions that will keep us safe, free, and prosperous.
You can thank groups like the ACLU for cutting of our noses despite our faces. *where is the heck did that saying come from?) I have been saying what this guy said for months. Of course, it makes too much sense so of course, Washington wont do it that way.
well it is a pretty bad bill.
Troublemakers…..Funny.
sadly I think the legislation drafted by the Senate will only make things worse.
It's not a lack of cohones. He specifically *wants* as many illegals in the country as possible. It makes for a good source of cheap labor for the corporate-business cabal he serves, and it helps his party with the Hispanic vote. It's not stupidity or cowardice – it's willful evil that's his problem.
Heritage is non-profit, non-partisan foundation that is largely funded by its 275,000 members. It is prohibited, by law, from lobbying.
Because prosecuting illegals is entirely the responsibility of the government, and puts no burden on business. If we had a trustworthy national identification system then there would be a burden on business to validate the identity of their employees, and a risk of penalties if they — knowingly or inadvertently — hired illegals. They don't want that.
The Heritage Foundation never actually comes out and says "best for business," but you can pretty much predict what position they will take on any issue that way. Why do they care about immigration? Because they want to make sure that our efforts to control illegal immigration don't inconvenience business in any serious way.
Big business doesn't really want to stop illegal immigration anyway — they like the cheap labor!
The Heritage Foundation is a business lobby, and they don't give a damn about stopping illegal immigration. Their job is to try to torpedo any law which might cut into their patron's profits. Keep that in mind when you watch their videos.
