Former Union Organizing Director talks about Card Check

Rian Wathen, former Organizing Director for the UFCW Local 700, Indianapolis, discusses various strategies union organizers use to get staff members to sign union permission cards. The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) would get rid of the secret-ballot democratic election treatment and alter it with card check, a technique that would make it possible for union organizers to fool, bother and threaten employees until they signed a union authorization card. When 51% of a company employees signed cards, EFCA would force business to acknowledge a union.
