Glory of God • Image of God Ep. 4
In this episode, Tim and Jon talk about the glory of God and what it means for humans to glorify him. Does glorifying God simply mean singing songs or acting a certain way? Why is God so interested in his glory? This all connects back to the image of God. The glory of God is one of those terms that is thrown around a lot in Christian culture, but what does it really mean?

Who are the gods of Genesis 1?
Genesis 1 is ELOHIM (Lucifer and the fallen angels).
They made this realm.
They made man in their image. (tares)
Man is an idol, a trap to hunt angels.
Genesis 2:7 the Lord God forms His representative in their system. (wheat)
One Gospel:
Gospel (GOOD ANGEL) of Reconciliation.
Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom
to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself.
We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness.
If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever.
Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of ELOHIM(gods).
REPENT FALLEN ANGELS.
Wow, this is an awesome video!
Kavod might be best translated as "worth".
It can be used used to refer to abstract worth as in self esteem (self worth), respect (treating as worthy, reciprocating worthiness).
Also concrete worth as in the weight of a piece made of whichever precious metal is its worth.
Then you can say net worth to refer to someone's total economic and financial value. Someone materialistic might say that their physical belongings are or reflect their worth. God's infinitely beautiful and intricate creation reflects His holy worth.
And I guess a very fat greedy glutton could be jokingly or worryingly called "worth a lot of worth" as in that their body has become a huge storage reflecting the wealthy amounts they consume…
Finally, consider that one of the most revolutionary advances for exchanging goods in ancient times were mechanisms to compare and measure the weight of said goods. You could suddenly exchange potatoes with carrots more fairly: instead of a potato of any size is worth a carrot of any size (which led to disagreement), a big potato was worth many small carrots and everything in between. So using this perspective, its intuitive that people started merging the idea of worth with the idea of weight: having a heavy basket of groceries gave its owner a visceral sense of abundance/worth.
This whole episode has single handedly held my faith up, I’m with Jon, I don’t want to be just a glorified yes man, I wanna enjoy creation and the creator as me
if we human are God's imagers , who are we imagers to ?, who are the spectator of the image? are we both imagers and onlookers of the same image?
Overall, I enjoyed this podcast and the discussion of kabod. However, I was a bit disturbed when I began checking references and found that the first illustration you use of the root word (kabed) as weightiness is King Eglon in Judges. 18:06 But the word kabed is not used anywhere in that text. Eglon is described as a very fat man (ish bari meod). Not sure why you felt the need to shoehorn this idea of heaviness into that text. You could have just as easily referred to the heavy hail of Exodus 9 or the heavy yoke of 1 Kings 12:4. Eglon could have been described as kabed but he was not.

I like Carmen’s lesson in her book about bearing the image of God as well. I didn’t know that was Joan of arc . Didn’t they paint it gold? Is that the laurelhurst area?
I really resonate with this understanding of how the word "Glory" in English carries with it a bad connotation.. in fact that was the main thing I had against the "eternal singalong" vision many people have of heaven, that it just seemed so petty and vain for God, to create an entire universe just to stroke His ego forever telling Him how great He is. Like is that what my entire life boils down to? Stroking a cosmic narcissist's ego? It makes me depressed to think about. But this is a better way of understanding it, even the words having different etymologies conveys so much. Because that's how it appeared to me "glory" is just.. praise and stroking ego and just.. you know, it's in the bible that God glorifies in people's infirmities right? So if the word "glory" as we know it in English is applied, then God is using our misery to puff up His esteem and that just seems so selfish and awful. But with the other word, that it meant how much they matter and importance it's got an entirely new connotation that makes that suffering and misery matter, in the "glory" sense it's just God can brag about people suffering for His sake. But in the Hebrew word etymology these people's suffering matters to God
The duty of man Is to know God better and do as He does?
Been having trouble with the word glory, glorifying as well. It caused me to see God in a strange uncomfy light. Bless you, thank you for making this video. It has helped me, and I think its a beautiful message how you guys explained it. I'm overjoyed and thankful. God bless amen! ^^
may you be glorified Lord!
I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home and I felt the presence of the Lord, come down to me from above. It was as real as anything and I felt so comfortable with Him.
I knew if I asked Him to play a song on the radio, He would.
So I said "Ok Lord, play Come as you are…"
I didn't know what station it was on or anything, but I turned the radio on and the song started playing right on the spot, perfectly…
I started getting flooded with chills inside, trembling, and crying tears of joy. When I got home, He stayed with me for 10 minutes till I got out of the car.
I've been getting amazing prayers answered for around 5 years since, because that experience made me stop doubting when I pray, and I follow Biblical instructions, best I can.
Could be a scammer seeking money.
Apologies for letting you down. We are one body of Christ our every action effect every other member of the body of Christ, i.e. his followers the church. So I am meditating with you to wash my foul mouth out with soap.
thanks be to God for this teaching
