Character in Biblical Narrative
Most of us think of characters in the Bible as either sinners or saints, good or bad. At least that’s how Bible stories are presented to children. In this video, we’ll explore the ways biblical authors present characters as more complex and morally compromised than we usually imagine.

Thank you for this. In the beginning, no one told me that the Bible characters were not 100% good, so when I was young I was so confused with how Jacob tricking Esau out of his inheritance was good 😅
Amen
This is mythology folks. Wake up and live your lives.
Is this for kids?
Interesting take, but we must remember these were REAL people not fictional characters. Some of them are listed in Hebrews as our models of The Faith. Portraying the faith God wants all of his people to have.
I am very disturbed by your presentation of the Bible. When I hear you use the words "characters and stories" to describe real people that lived and true historical events in the Bible, you make it seem like you don't believe the Bible's history of true events. You dangerously imply that it is similar to fables like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings – stories with symbols but not true events.
I just need to write to your channel how deeply and sincerely I appreciate the way you all narrate and illustrate the Word of God. The way you guys do everything is so beautiful and wonderful. God is given so much glory with this channel. Thank you so much for your dedication to demonstrate God’s Word the way you do and I pray and hope that your studies of God’s Word will grow you all deeper and deeper in relationship with Him. Thank you so much for the knowledge you share. It’s truly so life changing. My heart is so filled with God’s love when I watch these videos. Glory to God in the Highest!
Hands down one the videos I’ve ever seen on YouTube
I love how they ask and answer the questions that we’d want to ask 🙏🏾
I wish I found these videos sooner, much sooner.
Amen 🙏❤🔥
I sing praises, right here in my kitchen, while I cook. Lord thank you for opening my heart and soul again and again. The Holy Spirit is helping me see clearly. Helping me understanding. I am so blown away by Gods good graces.
Thank you for giving these people the talents and skills to educate. The patient to teach and learn for themselves.
You are a gracious God. Meeting me at my level of faith and guiding me to understand and get stronger.
I was blind and now I see Lord. Praises!!!🎉🙏🏽✨🥹
Does anyone know why this video won't work in Google slides? I get error 151 each time.
My name on earth, the character my father in heaven told me I was. This is the last confirmation, How disappointing. I never cared about fame and the garbage to go with it. But he was right, she was mentioned in the bible and God even punished her because someone else was jealous. No reference to her happiness, just another pawn in the big play for the favorites.
This is just amazing. Soo good
Hey
Only God is the hero
2:36
unrealistic. you can't see a fit and strong old Moses. Ok the bible. Ok that's fantasy. But here it is exaggerated. it's Moses not Heracles/Hercules
I learn what not to do. Aka from their mistakes. I also learn their good qualities of course

You said David sleeps with a man’s wife and then murders him. Not true. He put him in prime position to be killed but he was killed in battle.
One character I can never tell if they're good or bad is Joab, David's commander. I'm just confused whenever I read his part of the story.
Excellent and gripping cartooning content…way to go! God BLESS everyone!

the story offer is realistic portraits of compromised people like ourselves
the Bibalon define their good as bad defined by God
the Bible avoid moral commentary
the Bible are brief and minimum and dense
So are you saying that these people in the Old Testament are just “characters”, not real people?

I just recently discovered your channel on YouTube and subscribed. I watched the new video today which was the conclusion of the book of Deuteronomy. It was so moving that I began binge watching all your videos. They brought me to my knees in repentance and in the air praising our mighty God. Thank you so much for this beautiful work.
