Fair Play? Women’s Athletics in the Age of Gender Identity
Title IX was created in order to ensure that women had access to equal opportunities as men, including in sports. Now that legacy is threatened. New gender identity policies, which allow biological males who self-identify as women to compete against biological females, put women at a disadvantage. These policies can cost female athletes the titles, records, and scholarships that are rightfully theirs and even lead to serious sports-related injuries. Now, these policies could be imposed nationwide should lawmakers pass the Equality Act, a bill that would elevate “gender identity” as a protected class under federal anti-discrimination law.

Fastforward to 2021 and TADA! lea thomas…. sigh. My daughter doesn't even want to try sports now. or go back into to school. It's so awful that she says it litters every subject and now we have preschool teachers happy to confuse 3 year olds into made up pronouns when they are barely able to identify letters, numbers and colors. I weep for my daughter and our younger women. It is an awful landscape, and yet, now I still get trump derraingment syndrome with freinds when I try to discuss this in formerly women's spaces and groups. A handy knee jerk reaction to just beat down an argument. I never voted for Trump (or biden) and this is just wrong but after covid, now science and facts and medicine don't matter. Let's just continue a eugenic program to sterilize and castrate kids and beat down the others who are not as special.
We have failed our young people. All of them male and female.

Sport laws are not based on well defined biological sex but on vaguely defined gender. Biology is the whole point of female and male sports. How come only females transgender athletes get to win, not male transgender? Because sport governance is still unfairly male dominated.
We have men’s sports and women’s sports. How about we make a trans sports division? That way we can keep sports fair and competitive for everyone.

Transgender people need to have their own athletics competitions. What is happening in women's sports in the US is totally discriminatory against women. It is not a fair and just playing field for women athletes if boys and men decide to become transgender women, when there are obvious biological differences, then compete against them. May as well get rid of women’s sports.
There are some problems with this considering the biology of males and females but the way that these people went about this is absolutely horrible. They were doing the same things that they said they were “bullied” for. Being transphobic, laughing at jokes made on twitter, mislabeling these men and women. And they wonder why they get told they are transphobic and bullies. It’s because they are.

I work with many gay women and one who is turning male. They are with transgenders having their way no matter the cost or outcome. I have to remain silent to keep my job. Surprise surprise!
