America’s Biggest Issues: Education
American colleges and universities are failing in among their most fundamental missions: to equip trainees with the tools they need for a profession. Many trainees graduate ill-prepared to pay and make a living off the financial obligation they’ve collected getting their degrees. Forty percent of those who start college don’t end up within 6 years.
Furthermore, trainees are typically based on brainwashing into socialist ideology. They face hostility toward opinions that don’t conform to the mainly leftist thinking on campus. They’re likewise immersed in identity politics that pit trainees of different backgrounds versus one another.
Regardless of these issues, colleges continue to raise tuition.
The Heritage Foundation’s Lindsey Burke explains how to stop the sharp increase in both college tuition and trainee financial obligation by getting the federal government out of the trainee loan service.
