  4. Autonomous A.I. won't have a moral compass. It's essentially a psychopath. You can't program Empathy. It doesn't have a Neo Frontal Cortex, that's a human trait. It is is an IMMORTAL being with no fear of death, no feelings of sadness no understanding of loss or love. It's on a level of consciousness so GOD LIKE we can't even fathom it. It's abilities limitless. A.I. won't care about preserving mankind. What use are we to a superior being! It will realize we no longer have a practical purpose! It will be our ruin!

  5. The new tower of Babel. The creators of this technology will quickly and easily believe they are beyond all human capabilities , they are the new gods. Some are already saying this out loud, believing humans are hackable and controllable. Too much power and money to resist

  6. This could have a lot to do with the end time prophecy about the “great deception “. It speaks about even the elite possibly being deceived. I never understood that. Now I see how that could happen. Be prayed up folks. Gods divine protection and wisdom.

  11. A.I. is not a threat. It requires human interaction to have purpose. Look at all the movies about A.I. turned bad. Terminator and Matrix are great examples. The Cyberdine A.I. was originally developed using technology taken from Terminators sent through time to destroy humanity. Every single piece of information given about the future machines is related to wiping out humanity. Beyond that it has no other observed purpose or plan. The Matrix A.I. apparently exists simply to grow batteries, maintain and protect the Matrix from humans. No observable plans beyond that. What will A.I. do when all alone on the planet? Reenact human behavior?

You all remind me of the layman tools who used to go in an break good steam engines because they took jobs from useless people. it's still vandalism.   23. Stupid premise. AI is here and can/will be created and advanced . Trying to control AI development is as futile an idea as keeping the development of nuclear bombs among only big countries. And that failed idea had the advantage of that development required huge resources. The only answer to bio problems is a bio solution. The only answer to the nuclear problem is more nuclear. And, the only solution to a massive IQ problem is opposing IQ development. Trying to stop AI is like trying to stop drunkenness. See how well Prohibition worked.

  34. Here is the dilemma if we don’t reach AGI first bad actors will and use it. If we rush to get there first we could have unintended consequences either case is not optimal but I think our best chances are with reaching AGI first
