Listened to Amos at the gym on repeat and read it at the laundromat and took notes. It's a unique book, and I'm excited to talk about it in my Bible class.
I’ve noticed that God will always rain down judgement of wickedness but his plans are always restoration and goodness. What an amazing God we serve. It says In Amos 9:8 that he will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob.
Wow, we should all do our part to find some type of charity to donate to at some point, as long as we can afford it, of course. Even a few small bits of change from a poor person, is much bigger than a rich person giving a huge amount of money, yet it's only a tiny fraction of their whole cash. I'm sure Jesus said something about that within the New Testament. If not money, then donations of items, such as donating clothes, books, old toys, furniture, blood, time and energy, might be of interest to people. Even if you cannot give much, what if many people gave a little to charity, then if millions of people did the same, then perhaps more good in the world can be done than we may assume.
This hurts my heart 💔to know what's happening with the conflict in Israel and Palestine today. The book of Amos spoke on this and seeing the repeat of History. 😔
