What I like ablut Ephesians is that it's the Gospel and it's instructions boiled down to it'e essentials. It tells you what's good, what's bad, what do to, what not to do, gives you the Good News, and the now Bad News(evil spirits). There's little overly flowery language, not much metaphor to get lost in. It's short, it's straight forward, and it makes things clear

A synopsis of Paul’s letter to Ephesians. Adopted Children cannot earn Adoption. Paul, in a lengthy complex letter (which contained no chapter or verses,) subtlety told Ephesians ch. 1 v 5 because of Christ, God the Father adopted them. Paul clarified, just as “Adopted Children” cannot earn their earthly parents’ gift of adopted, Christians/Adopted cannot earn “Everlasting Life.” Christians/Adopted Children are expected & required (in time) to obey God. Chapter 4, verses 11 >13, Paul wrote, Christ chose some of you to be apostles, pastors, teachers of the Gospel.
Jailed for spreading the Gospel of his Risen Lord Jesus Christ, Paul learned newly converted Ephesians were bragging “Good Works” earned them God’s gift of eternal life. This disturbed Paul. Not only is he falsely imprisoned, some Ephesians don’t realize Jesus Christ’s paid the way for them to become adopted. Christ also commanded humans to start loving & treating each other the way God loves & treats us. Read carefully & you will realize, just as adopted children are expected to develop habits which duplicates their earthy parents, Chapter 5, verse 1 Jesus Christ expects Christians to develop habits which replicas God the Father’s, which includes love, no more lying, stealing, falsely imprisoning or defaming others. Below are chapters 4, 5& 6 explains.
In Chapter 4 verses 11 thru 24, Paul explains, “Christians must stop acting like children. Our mission in life is to learn to obey God> God wants Christians to teach others & themselves, as far as humanly possible, love & treat others the same as Christ would. Verse 15 Paul stresses, “Love should always make us tell the truth. Verse 17 as a follower of the Lord, I order you to stop living like stupid, godless people. 23 Let the Spirit change your way of thinking 24 and make you into a new person. You were created to be like God, and so you must please him and be truly holy.
In Chapter 5 verse 1, Paul continues with comparing earthly children & their parents with expected actions or duties of Christians to God. Chapter 5 Do as God does. After all, you are his dear children. 2 Let love be your guide. Christ loved us and offered his life for us as a sacrifice that pleases God.
Chapter 6 Children, you belong to the Lord, and you do the right thing when you obey your parents. The first commandment with a promise says, 2 “Obey your father and your mother, 3 and you will have a long and happy life.”
4 Parents, don't be hard on your children. Raise them properly. Teach them and instruct them about the Lord.

I just want to thank you for making this rally cool and informative animation that covers the entire letter to Ephesus. This helps me because I don’t know whether I have an undiagnosed ADD but I struggle to take the information in… but this video has made the information more manageable to digest. Thankyou!
Jesus my savior wash my feet today and forgive me of my sin and failures
What you said about the husband being responsible for the wife make sense given the Roman household codes that the people in Ephesus followed at that time. The household codes gave men the power of life and death over their households and allowed them to have everything their way. Wives and children revolved around the will of the husband. Paul though, as part of this example for how to live out Christ's command to love one another, says oh no, you're responsible for her well-being. That's pretty radical.
