So relevant for this day.. Joel 3:16(b) but the Lord will be the hope of his people and the strength of the children of Israel.
When I read this book today I kept thinking about the book of Revelation that if I am not mistaken also mentions that the sun will become dark and the moon like blood.
Cool name. So much prophetic power when we consider the fall of Jerusalem of 70AD.

This summary of Joel just amazes me wuth it's stating that Joel dud this and Joel did that and Joel essentialy "figured out" things from what the other prophets had written.
But at the beginning of Joel he claims to be recounting the word of the Lord.
So this is fto. God, not man.

Such a short book but it gets to the point. I wonder if he knew his just how big of a prophesy his poem would carry. He's just straight to the point. He doesn't waste words and by the end you understand that his prophesy is metaphorical describing horrible tragedies. I share his name and Joel was the first book of the Bible that I read.

The Lord Jesus Christ has delivered me from drug addiction, homelessness, abusive relationships, evil spirits (yes they're real) , sexual immorality, swearing, lying, stealing, laziness.. and even more. I searched a bit and many people put Joel in the time of Jona and Amos. Can you help me understand why the Bible project puts Joel only at the return? Or why would the others put the book in the „begining“.
