I've heard all of Dr. Pham's view of COVID 19. Try to have him debate other doctors who have different views of the COVID 19.
Spreading COVID19 is necessary. The data in Sweden have shown that they may have achieved herd immunity. I predict that their 2nd wave will be lower than other nations including the US. If this happens, this will prove that the economic lockdown and masking were unnecessary.
It would be unwise to compare a pandemic vs a bad flu year. Historical data shows that pandemics are worst than a worst or normal year of the flu or other viruses.
6 months in, and these are all the wrong questions. How long should we expect to wear masks? How will we reach herd immunity if all the healthy young people are wearing masks? Why should we trust government leaders when they are shutting down economies over "positive tests" rather than hospitalizations or deaths?

So far, all the randomized studies that the FDA, CDC, NIH, and WHO depend upon are flawed and designed for HCQ to fail. These studies, for some reason, never included zinc, are given too late, or the wrong group of patients. Solidarity and Recovery studies even used lethal doses of hydroxychloroquine.
Here is a suggestion to end the pandemic. 1st) We must make Hydroxychloroquine, zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D3 abundantly available in the outpatient setting. 2nd) Return to normal activities in including sports, concerts, shows, etc., 3rd) If anyone begins to have 1 COVID-19 symptom, get on HCQ, zinc, vitamin C, and D right away. 4) If 1 family member in your household has COVID-19, everyone in the house will be on the 4 medications. 5) After 2 months everyone would have had COVID-19 recovered and somewhat immune, it will be very hard for the virus to continue. It will die off. This is a theory to end the pandemic. No one has any plan right now. If you have experience in healthcare, please make a suggestion to add to or tweak this theory, I would appreciate it. Please let's pull together and come up with a plan. Please do not criticize, it will not be beneficial to anyone. Thanks!
A patient admitted to my hospital ER. Pt is a 73 y/o female with COVID positive, impaired renal function, on dialysis, had QT prolongation, hypertension, cough, diarrhea, and required oxygen. Infectious disease wanted to put the patient on Remdesivir but med is contraindicated for patients with severe renal impairment. So ID put the patient on Hydroxychloroquine and zinc. The patient was also put on Rocephin, lovenox, and dexamethasone. After 1 day, the patient no longer required oxygen and was on room air, decrease cough, decrease diarrhea, increase appetite, and increase verbal communication. 2nd day continued to get better and on the 4th day, discharged to home. From what I can tell, this is more scare mongering than real facts.
I have been seeing facts produced by many senior medical experts in multiple fields, including virology and infectious diseases who say it is basically something which preys only on those who are weak and have compromise immune systems.
Also the REAL death tolls are QUITE LOW and those REPORTED are FALSIFIED by INFLATING them with COMPLETELY UNRELATED illnesses, even vehicular deaths!
"Experts", depends on the motive of the org or person who hires the Expert. Experts grow on trees. You can find an Expert for ANY position.

Who let this alarmist fear monger on a Heritage Foundation video? I find it truly amazing how a member of the medical community can make such patently verifiably false assertions. Unless a person is wearing a properly fitted medical-grade surgical mask and does not touch it with their hands until removal and proper disposal with NO reuse, no mask in current common use exceeds 2 to 3 percent effectiveness in filtering contagions. And, never mind the communal handling of products for sale on grocery, convenience, or big-box store shelves. And, his denial of the rampant over-reporting of deaths as attributable to COVID when some other predominate cause is not only more likely but stupifyingly obvious.
