I want to talk to you about a new feminism for the 21st century.
There are three pillars to this new feminism: Dignity. The word “no.” And men.
That’s right, men.
But before I expound on these three ideas, you need to know something about me. I was very involved in the feminist movement, including being on the board of directors of the National Organization for Women. For this I feel much pride and some guilt. Pride because feminism has pushed forward some very important and needed changes; and guilt because it has also done a lot of damage. My work now is to reverse that damage.
So in that spirit, let’s talk about the first pillar of this new feminism: dignity.
Dignity is at the core of what feminism should always be about. Dignity means that a woman should be able to freely choose her own path in life. That’s what feminism once held. But does it still? Ask almost any female college student today what she aspires to be and she’ll list any number of career choices. The one she won’t list is wife and mother. In fact any time someone has the temerity to suggest that a woman might want to look for a husband while in college, as a very successful Princeton grad recently did in a letter to the school’s newspaper, feminists go nuts. A new feminism will value and respect all responsible choices.
And while we’re talking about dignity, I can’t think of anything less dignified for women than the feminist belief that in the sexual arena, women are like, and therefore ought to act like, men. Is this what the truly liberated woman wants? To have casual sex and think nothing of it like men do? That’s what feminism aspires to? Sad to say the answer has too often been yes.
So, let’s add this up: Feminism has downplayed the desire for women to have a family while at the same time hyping the rewards of career and casual sex. Not exactly a recipe for success or happiness.
The second pillar of a new feminism is the word “no.” It’s very much tied in with the first pillar.
Throughout history women have made great use of the word “no.” Of course many times women said “yes” when they should have said no, and that’s the basis of more than a few classic stories and novels. But this was the exception, not the rule. There is great power in that word “no.” And women, for the most part, knew how to wield that power. But in the last few decades they’ve lost it. And the consequences have been catastrophic.

2.0? This is the same old tired men belittling garbage disguised as some new wave of feminism. She is basically just calling men inferior beings, like they always do. If you want men and women to get along respectfully, then respect men and knock this off.

Being equal does not mean "the same as…" When we accept this fact we liberate ourselves. It is true for men as well as women. Believing women and men are the same leads to biological males competing in women's sports.
It's a refreshing change to hear this given the current social climate, but I'm still going to be an idealist rather than a feminist. Idealism is the pure essence of every ideology. Let's all make the world a more idyllic place.
You're absolutely right! The BIGGEST mistake men ever made? Was giving women the right to vote! Not because women are in any way inferior. But because women are too easily manipulated by emotional arguments! As evidenced by the catastrophic Washington naval treaties. Which far from preventing WW-II, made it absolutely certain! Just one of many social calamities caused by emotionally driven voting. The current feminism is if fact, a golden example. Instead of being female! Feminists are choosing to be as masculine as possible! So why should any man respect them? This is great! If the EXTINCTION of our society is the goal! Face it! That dating save for the hook up culture? Has nearly ended. If children from happy families are the future? Then our society's future is barren at best. Look positively at what you will? All thst really matters? Is the terrible DAMAGE! Done. Damage that may very well be irreversible.
The Romans were right! It was against the law in Rome. For any Woman to gain any political power of any kind.
The book burning Catholic church, systematically burned all books that said why? It was against church doctrine, that any woman, could ever have any power of any kind! So all books about matriarchy, were burned. Only it's not so hard to understand. Archaeology shows that for more than 50,000 years. Eurasia was dominated by matriarchal tribes. A matriarchal society that stifled all legal, social, and technological development for more than 50,000 years! Today we owe EVERYTHING we take for granted? To the patriarchal society, that developed. The matriarchs had their chance, for more than 50,000 years! To this very day. The most backwards uncontacted and isolated tribes of humans? Are always dominated by matriarchal leadership. That's what matriarchy means to humanity. Stagnation and destruction of our species.
Accountability and responsibility to women is like kryptonite to superman.

A truly spiritual (not necessarily Christian) woman should say NO to competition on beauty with her looks- and instead, show the beauty through her actions!! She should encourage men (not necessarily males) to take more responsibility in their spirituality!! And she should seek the most distant possible financial connections with other businesses!! We ALL need to respect that the Universe has a binary (both sexes) spiritual nature- even if we're atheists!!

What a crazy sad wicked world we humans live in. This battle of the sexes between men and women seriously must come to an end immediately because it is so depressing & so infuriating. As a normal young man myself born in 1998, who believes in egalitarianism for both men and women, I have a deep burning hatred for both misogynists who are anti-women & misandrists who are anti-men because they are both stupid bigots. Without women there would be no advance science because of how intelligent they are based on their inventions plus they work together with men to fix the world by working in the fire departments, the medical units, the militaries, the police forces, the search and rescue crews, & other institutions that protects society from danger. Without men there would be no infrastructure on the planet based on what they designed and built meaning no bridges, no buildings, no electricity, no houses, no plumbing, no roads, & also no vehicles. So these misandrists and these misogynists need to shut their annoying, bigoted, evil, stupid, mouths up & must accept the fact that men & women are obviously human beings period. Feminists hate men yet thrive to be men
There are women who, given a free choice, would rather not have children. Some men would marry but also not want children. Some men and women don’t want children or marry, and that’s totally fine. There’d be less unwanted children and unhappy marriages. Women are not baby machines. They should not be subjected to bearing them to satisfy society. Neither should they be judged as “whores” because they like having sex with different people. This is religion and society encroachment on women’s constitutional rights. As long as what they do doesn’t hurt anyone and is consensual , women must be afforded the same freedoms as men. Motherhood, like fatherhood is not for everyone.
I wouldn’t mind being used as a disposable sex object by many different women. Wham, bam, thank you man, here’s your money. Lock the door on the way out. Why shouldn’t a woman just follow her impulses and needs? Do men or women stop being sexual beings after they get married or teach a certain age? If more people would shag at will, consensually, there’d be less anger, shootings, and depression in this world. We are all lonely people and we need some candy from time to time.
I actually think we shouldn't do a thing; If women want to be CEOs, let them. They wanna be mothers? Let them. If they want to run the world and take our (mens) jobs, go ahead! I'd LOVE to see more women as Executives/construction workers/soldiers! So many women talk about how the world would be so much more peaceful if women ran it; awesome! Lets see how well you do. Im serious! Give them a chance! Hell, Ill vote for the next woman to run for president; as long as shes for the first and second amendments. I got NO problem with women acting like men. They certainly want us to treat them like it, so why not?
How about human rights and equal rights for all?

Longing to be a loyal, devoted wife is just as valid as focusing on your career and being content with bring unmarried. The important task is knowing what you desire without falling prey to making decisions based on the arbitrary expectations of society.
Do not be hedonistic. Society has certain expectations that are objectively beneficial (i.e. having social skills, and educating yourself), however, society should not inherently decide every path. You can carve your own path as long as you are not acting filthy, or being an unneasonarly burdensome leech off of our system.

Obviously as a Catholic (not a Joe Biden "Catholic", but an actual Catholic), I am against birth control and disappointed she mentioned it in a positive way (as though it were a good thing).
But anyway, I really recommend reading Lorraine V Murray's book "Confessions of an Ex-Feminist". Prager University should invite her to make a video (and before she passes away, no offense intended)!
