I’ll preface this comment with this: I have a daughter who will be in Kindergarten next year, and haven’t decided yet where to send her (public vs Christian school).
I can’t help but think, when I hear the suggestion that all Christian families should take their kids out of the public school system, that public schools will become an even darker place. For instance, how many believers today have a testimony of a Christian at their school inviting them to a youth group as a kid?
I agree. Another factor is that the Left leverages impressionable minds under their influence. That’s why they want the voting age to be as low as possible.
Another thing to consider: You can’t take it for granted that your “Christian school” teachers share and teach your values. And not every parent/child has the gifts or finances to be a homeschool family. You must make a major, thoughtful, consistent effort to pass along your values to your child outside of “school” time, regardless of how you school.
Voddie Baucham preached a sermon on the dangers of the public school system. “We cannot continue to send our children to Caesar for their education and be surprised when they come home as Romans.”
