@luvcheney1 I realize that taxes have to be paid by people. the alternative to taxes is anarchy. sometimes the costs of taxes on the private sector is less than the benefit to public good.

@jcondon11 With the policies that we have in place now, the stimulus bill may have slowed down America's crash (according to some people), but then again, it may not have. My opinion is that it hasn't done anything for "the people" at all.
The stimulus is the only thing that prevented Bush's economic crash from causing complete meltdown. OK private sector you got your tax cuts again and again, so where are the jobs you keep promising?

The treatment of Rangel and the Kennedy crooks compared to us and hardly see an enjoyed protection?I see the US grade average drop all time low ? where the _ do you live? La La land? Stealing? This US would be nothing without private biz…hard working stiffs trying to make a better life. Not parasites like the gov. employees
@Sportshark …I sleep well after a full day, week, month…hour after hour of WORKING! I am a small biz that HAS to do this everyday to keep my family fed. I have to look for a new job every freaking day or we get hungry fast…I don't look to the gov for anything but confiscating my hard earned money to give to someone else.
My question to you is how do you sleep knowingly supporting those that STEAL money at every opportunity?

Where the F does the gov get off spending our money on BS when the average family has to cut spending to get by…small business are NOT hiring but the gov does? We don't have a spending problem, we have an Income Problem.
The Bush tax cuts are a great example of Income Reduction to a small segment of America that doesn't contribute or produce anything and forces working families to pay the price.
When you cut programs, it's the same as raising taxes on those working familes affected.
So the Heritage foundation is calling for reducing taxes for the rich who contribute nothing and raising taxes on working families that do.

Speaking of research… I would like to see spending cut by WHY do people always use examples of scientific study as examples for this? Is it really worth the rhetorical button-pushing to make something sound ridiculous when scientific study and innovation is one of the most beautiful parts about the modern-world? There are BILLIONS of dollars to cut elsewhere before we start talking about cutting funding to scientists studying exotic ants.

The best way? Do some research.
A carbon tax is the best way to raise revenue to pay the debt.
Regardless of the agreement that Congress may come to on what taxes will be next year, they need to cut spending and should be focusing on ways to do it right now.

@Sportshark There is work if people are willing to reduce their previous level of living. It's not society's job to insure your lifestyle. People might have to move, might have to give up their homes. People crossed the ocean to get here and now won't move a state or two to get a job.
