Technology is neutral only if seen from an abstract point, Alex. That a mistake I hear and see everywhere. One may say that technology (this or that) is neither absolute evil nor absolute good, but that is too obvious, since we're speaking of things from the relative domain. (By the way, an "absolute evil" would be a no-thing. As the Scholastic formula goes, "evil has no ontological reality".) Technology, as anything humanly produced, manifests in itself a certain type of mentality, purpose, etc., and in that sense it may be categorized in moral terms. Evil comes from our heart, as Christ says, and that does not exclude the fact that certain types of technology may be, in a sense, the expression of it.
