You dont reconcile science and fairytales.
I love your humility and ability to consider other views Sean. Then you analyse and respond…this felt to me like a purposely posed question you already had an answer for. I may and very well could be wrong! I love spontaneous answers biblically based. This to me felt set up!

There is no way to reconcile belief without evidence (faith) and drawing conclussions based on evidence via experimentation through the scientific method (science). These two are diametrically opposed and in opposition to each other.

Does not take us closer to the truth or solution. Science and religion divide and influence through manipulative workings. Folks need money to survive.

This is so funny. Science can prove many things. At the moment it has proven Christianity as false. Sorry. God not so much. Universe is really complicated maybe there is a high power behind may not. We humans will never be able to understand God if there is truley one. So what is sinful etc, we will never understand it. Science always creates new qs. Religious science ppl are no different than the democrats woke people who nit pick what will be acceptable and what will not be. Logic and Science is the only way.
Faith should not dictate science learning and science learning should not dictate faith. Now, when you try to make science based faith, you end up with a flaw in both science and faith. If you try to make faith based science you end up as well a flaw in both faith and science. What you have to do is conclude that faith should be identified by who God is, what God can do, and what process God works to get things done. Science helps just understand how things work, why certain things are important, and what we can do to mimic what nature does to correct problems.
The Vatican Librarian, a friend of Galileo, wrote "The Bible is about how to go to Heaven. Astronomy is about how the heavens go." Two different realms of inquiry, using different methods. Pope Urban's failure to grasp this was a near fatal error for the Church. It has not yet recovered. But the methods of science are equally unsuited for answering questions of morality, and when science is unmoored from its proper domain, it becomes little more than fantasy dressed in lab coats instead of vestments.
You can have both. Evolution can be seen as part of God's creation.

Science can discover how God gets His Business done. It cannot explain the why of things.

It just does. The bible scientifically makes sense. God wouldnt waste something – thats why its refered to as intelligent design. Only in the last two generations has this animosity been driven between science and God.
An example of the bible making science sense…God said to circumcise your sons on the 8th day of their life. What they didnt know back then is that on the 8th day of your life, your bodys white blood cell production goes through the roof, so youll heal three times as fast. Think that was just a coincidence?

Matching science to faith has historically resulted in a flat earth at the center of the universe. Is that what we’re suggesting doing again?
If a species that evolves in such a way, that its mind does not cohere with its environment, it will fail as a species. For a simple example, consider instincts, like those of the spider. Its comparatively simple mind conforms brilliantly to its environment. If it were to fool itself, it would die. Keep that in mind when you hatch sophistic arguments that undermine the beauty and adaptability of the human mind and ignore its collective accomplishments, like philosophy and civilization.

What's there to reconcile? They're literally originating from the same source, God.
One can't reconcile the lies and ignorance of these cults with science. Curious how this cult has nonsense like stars are little lights in a dome that can fall on the earth. that isn't true and was from ignorant humans who didnt' know any better. Why think ignorance humans know anything when they pretend that god's wrath is what causes disease when it's bacteria and viruses?
