14 year old caller ?! 😮 🤩 Wow amazing! I wish I could have been that knowledgeable at that age. May God bless you, young man. 🙏😊
what is this RPL mentioned twice by the time 7:58. is there a website to find out more? sounds interesting. am an occasional listener, so maybe I missed it talked annoy on other podcasts?
If your ideas oppress me should I oppress you into not stating them?
Can you guys spend less time asking for money? Not trying to be mean or anything and I understand that STR needs funds to continue speaking the truth effectively, but I think it would be better to advertise at the end or something.
At 43:15 the caller asks for recommended resources. I have found the videos and podcasts by James Lindsay to be very informative. Lindsay is not a Christian but he is a mathematician who believes in objective reality and the use of reason. Lindsay has done a deep dive into the history and the ideas of "wokeism". Anyone who wants to understand the thinking of the hard Left would do well to consult the videos and podcasts of James Lindsay. The YouTube Channels New Discourses and Sovereign Nations would be good places to start.
At 36:30 the caller asks where Oppression by Ideology comes from. The caller may want to research an essay by Neo-Marxist Herbert Marcuse about Repressive Tolerance. Basically, Marcuse advocates being tolerant of ideas from the Left but intolerant of ideas from the Right. Marcuse was very influential in the New Left radicalism of the 1960's. Marcuse died in 1979 but his ideas live on.
I'm a Catholic Christian, so I'm obligated to follow the Pope (so long as he does not deviate from the Catechism of trust in faith). However, Pope Francis recently within the past year or so said the Jews are protected by the "first Covenant given by Moses" to them. It sounds to me as if the Pope has recognized that the promise by God given to Moses for his people (the First Covenant) remains as to the Jews, even though Jesus came to replace the "First Covenant" and to provide a "New" Covenant. Did God withdraw a promise to the Jews?
It seems to me Pope Francis is correct, even though I disagree with many things he said over the years that are not "doctrine". In other words, Catholics are not required to believe every utterance a Pope proclaims unless it is "doctrine of the faith and agreed upon by the Bishops". So, are the Jews exempt from believing in Jesus because they have received the "first covenant" from God as proclaimed by Moses? Can God make a promise and later take it away?
