The Bible is written by bigoted and hypocrite men. Christianity is homophobic. Many priests and ministers are rapists or abusers. People in the church pretend they are cleaner and more divine than the others they look down to. Although Christianity is far better than Islam in my opinion.
This is the problem with western church (Roman catholics and protestants) it has become a relative academic exercise.
With competing theories and doctrines far removed from the early Church. People seek to experience the Devine through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Not to attend an academic seminar to know certain facts about Christianity. Experiencing Christ through tribulation, prayer and fasting are far removed from the western church.
This why you have all these protestant movements (denominations and non-denominations) that loose steam after a few years. Some can not even define what a church is let alone core tenants of the faith.
The Eastern church does not have these remedial struggles of what a church is and if Christianity is relevant.
If Jesus didn't matter, people wouldn't have a deep need to respond to him. Whether they praise him or vilify him, he is addressed.
Truth is truth no matter our opinion ❤️
Interesting, thank you.
