  8. 38:59 "genesis 1 sets up the IDEA that the cosmos was unordered…" now i am certain what the error of this website is: it is framing genesis as just a narrative, moral story." the entire word of god is historical recording his dealings with real (not imagined) individuals/nations in real (not imagined) times, in real (not imagined) places. this sets apart this body of writings above all other writings religious or secular. this confirms this is indeed not just a product of human mind, but a mind guided by the holy spirit of god. man is simply god's amanuensis. my prayer is that viewers need to prayerfully study/meditate on the word of god asking to be given the understanding like david did. and eagerly listen to teachings from others but just as eagerly check them out against what god caused to be written like the bereans did. i leave to the others who view this video to discover its great insights but also be watchful over errors especially errors foundational to our faith.

  9. 38:28 "ancient biblical author's imagination." the word of god was authored by him. he did not just imagine what he caused to be written by use of human agency. the genesis account actually happened. jesus refers to it as historical account, not parabolical.

  10. 38:13 "water and darkness represents the UNCREATED world." god created everything, including water and darkness. these were among what he first created of earth including its expanse and dry land. these were set in place to house the rest of creation including man.

  12. 36:57 the words are "formless" and "void" not "chaotic." water is formless unless put in a vessel. vessel is always empty unless something is put inside it.

    it is clear creation (the ground in its basic element) became cursed because of adam and eve's disobedience to a simple command genesis 3:17 . god offers us the infinite/the eternal, we choose the finite/death.

  13. 35:20 all of god's gifts need to be under our good stewardship. drinking the gift of wine is thus to be savored with gratitude. but the wine for the lord's supper has a symbolic value that has nothing to do with casual or daily wine drinking or any other drinking at any other time other than at the memorial of the blood shed to seal our covenant with god.

  14. 34:15 the lord's supper is not the passover meal. paul wrote of the lord's supper as being taken during their regular assemblies ("…when you come together as an ekklesia…" 1 cor 12:18). that is why he could write "as often…"(v26) however he wrote of the observance of the passover ("therefore celebrate the feast…" 1 cor 5:8) which is only observed once a year.

    note too, the reasons for such observance: lord's supper-remembrance of his death; passover- remembrance of the redemption of israel from slavery.

    there are other differences: day the memorial was instituted (nisan 14: lord's last meal with his disciples; nisan 15: the eating of the passover meal); absence of the passover lamb during the lord's supper (the passover lamb can only be sacrificed in the temple on the afternoon of the 14th, the day after jesus' last meal with his disciples before he was crucified); bread: lord's supper-artos (leavened); passover-azumos (unleavened). etc.

  15. 7:35 8:38 what an insight. thank you and bless you!!! the world has been short changing itself. it is amusing that we seek scholars, experts for worldly matters. and yet continue to seek human "wisdom" for eternal matters when god provides us his wisdom for both finite (earthly) and eternal matters.

  16. 5:50 thank you for bringing up the fact that god did give man two choices: tree of life and tree of knowledge of good and evil. however, by referring to this as just "story" it comes across to me as debunking the historicity of this event. that god just made up this story to teach a lesson of the consequence of a poor choice. but the entire word of god, unlike books of other religions is factual-real history. jesus refers to this event as historical. i am hopeful this is not your intent-that you, like jesus, take this event as having actually happened.

  18. In one book, I think it is in Matthew, it says that Jude hung himself on a tree and in another book it says that he was working in his field, tripped, fell and his guts came out and he died. I will stick to Jude hanging himself.
